Slime Science is what makes life for a Slime Rancher easier and more customizable inSlime Rancher 2. From improving your vacpack to getting a jetpack to just decorating your ranch perfectly, there’s something for everyone in the ever-growing field of Slime Science. While some kind ranchers will send you the occasional blueprints to items, there is more to unlock with treasure pods.

Getting to these treasure pods isn’t always easy. Before setting out to hunt in even Rainbow Fields for these items, a player should have a jetpack and maybe a stamina upgrade. Be ready to look over edges to find hidden lips and ledges you can land on to access some of these hard-to-find gifts.

SLime Rancher 2 - Treasure Pods Rainbow Fields

Rainbow Fields

Hosting the smallest cluster of pods is the area just outside the ranch - Rainbow Fields. 14 different pods are out there to be opened for unique creatable landscape materials and upgrades to your gear.

Pop the Phosphor Gordo and head into the back of the cave

On top of the archways that lead to the base of the large mountain structure

Climb the mountain by jetpacking from rock shelf to rock shelf and discover this pod on one near the peak

From the refinery link, head to either side of the bottleneck and drop to this cave area via the ledges

Power Chip

Tucked between some rocks and coral on a sandbar beneath the warp pad

Med Station

At the back of a cave, hidden beneath an archway path

Emerald Cypress

Blending in with some round bushes and rocks on top of a rocky walkway near the Pink Gordo

Overjoyed Statue

Head beyond the warp gate to locate this behind the short pillar at the edge of the Slime Sea

Starlight Strand

Wandering through the pink and blue lands of the Starlight Strand will net a rancher 24 different pods. It will require a lot of hopping around, so be prepared with your energy management.

Trying to mimic the bubble rock it sits next to on top of a sea-side mountain.

Time to crank up the heat and get 24 more treasure pods. Players should pay attention to their health and stamina in some areas, though, as things can get a little spicy when finding some of these presents.

Powderfall Bluffs

The Powderfall Bluffs region boasts several disappearing pathways leading to previously inaccessible areas. Ranchers looking for the 21 treasure pods hidden here should do so at night, and/or with a fully ungraded Jetpack.

Turn around after using the teleporter near the Crystal Gordo, then jetpack to the ice cubes in the Slime Sea

Follow the Aurora bridges on the West side of the pink coral island.

Inside the cave system on the pink coral Island near the water.

Inside the Fire Flower Cave, follow the Aurora bridge to a cave ledge in the ceiling.

Inside the Fire Flower Cave near the feral largo slimes.

On the Northwestern side of Pink Coral Island underneath the ledge.

In the middle of the large Western Island on a ledge down by the Slime Sea

Use the Aurora Roads to climb up to the tall grassy spire off the coast of the Western Island

On the Northwestern edge of the Western Island, use the Aurora Roads to reach an icy spire just off the coast.

Snow Globe Decoration

On the Northwestern edge of the main island, follow the main path towards the cave entrance, just before going inside veer off to a ledge on the left hand side.

Majestic Snowflake Decoration

Go behind the waterfall in the tropical area to reach a small cave with the treasure pod inside.

Hydro Shower

Take the geyser inside the cave where you found #16, then follow Aurora Roads down the side of the island to a treasure pod on a ledge.

Inside where you found the Frosted shell, take the right-hand path. This leads to a treasure pod on a patch of snow and a dead end.

Crystal Spires Decoration

Follow Aurora Roads along the Eastern edge of the main island until you find a treasure pod wedged on the snowy cliffs.

Aurora Pine Decoration

On top of the tallest mountain on the map, near the feral Phosphor Largos. To get to the pod, you’ll need to Jetpack up a series of small ledges.
