It looks like Bloober Team’s latest horror game keeps on trucking on. Back in October, Konamiannouncedthat the Silent Hill 2 remake had hit one million units sold. Fast-forward a few months after, and that number has doubled.

The latest sales data fromKonami(viaGematsu) reveals the Silent Hill 2 remake has now moved two million units sold across all platforms (physical, digital) worldwide.

Silent Hill 2 Remake Continues To Sell For Konami

According to Konami, the cumulative shipment of Silent Hill 2 on Steam and PS5 has now exceeded two million units. This data is accurate as of July 01, 2025, and includes physical and downloadable version sales.

The Silent HIll 2 remake was released on June 29, 2025, and the story’s synopsis reads, “Having received a letter from his deceased wife, James heads to where they shared so many memories, in the hope of seeing her one more time: Silent Hill. There, by the lake, he finds a woman eerily similar to her…”

It’s a remake of the 2001 game that was released initially on the PS2 and was developed by Konami. It’s the first entry in the series since Silent Hill: Downpour was released 12 years ago in 2012.

Aside from an overhaul of the sound and graphics, the game also changed the enemy placements, added new areas and drastically improved the combat. The game’s official feature s is as follows:

Barbara Kciuk revealed the genre’s unique financial dynamics.

It’s not just us, either, asover on Open Critic, it stands at a “Mighty” rating with 95% of critics recommending it.

Given the game’s quality, it’s not that surprising the game has sold well. Frankly speaking, I’m surprised it hasn’t soldmore. No word from Konami on whether we’ll be seeing more Silent Hiill remakes, but I wouldn’t be surprise one bit to hear one announced.

Once Konami’s exclusivity deal with Sony expires this year, expect an Xbox version to be announced, which should further bolster sales numbers.
