A few days ago,Shift Up officially revealed Stellar Blade: The Complete Edition, a full package of their critically acclaimed title with new content coming toPS5and PC next month.
This will mark the first time Stellar Blade is playable on PC, although, as of right now,it seems that it won’t be made available in a lot of countries due to region-lock implemented by Sony.
Stellar Blade PC Reportedly Can Run Better With Denuvo Than Without, Claims Devs
This is unprecedented if true, given Denuvo has ben notorious for affecting PC performance.
Now that Stellar Blade development and post-launch support is coming to an end, Shift Up is not hesitant to confirm thatthey are planning to develop and release a sequel.
During an investor relations presentation, Shift Up outlined a timetable showing their plans from the year 2024 to 2027 in one of the slides. This timetable includes two entries for Stellar Blade.
One of them is named “Platform Expansion”, which we now know refers to the release of the game on PC, and the other is called “Sequel”, which obviously refers to Stellar Blade 2.
According to the shared timetable,Shift Up is aiming to release Stellar Blade 2 before 2027. This means that we could receive Stellar Blade 2 in 2026, probably on PS5 first.
However, there is always the possibility of plans changing or the project getting delayed to later dates. We should wait for a proper reveal of Stellar Blade 2 for now.
With the critical and commercial reception Stellar Blade received, it only makes sense for Shift Up to start working on a sequel immediately, which is what its fans would love.
A Mysterious New Game Labeled “Project Witches”
There is alsoanother entry labeled “Project Witches,” which could be a new IP.If rumors are to be believed,this project is supposed to be an action game similar to Stellar Blade.
Stellar Blade is coming to PC on August 12, 2025. The extra content on the Complete Edition version will also be made available to the owners of the PS5 version for free.
