The Secretlab Titan Evo 2022 receives an excellent 9 / 10 rating. It’s almost perfect in every way, and the ways it isn’t are arguably nitpicking small details that are minor inconveniences or are solved with other options. We’ll dive more into these as we explore each section of the review.

The Power of First Impressions
When you first open the Titan Evo 2022 Series box and start unloading, you immediately feel like there is a premium to everything you see and touch. As you go through the instructions, you are pleased with how easy to follow they are, and how easy to complete each step is. By the time your chair is built, and you take a glimpse at it in front of your sweet office or gaming setup… you know you made the right choice.
The first thing you want to do when you look at this chair is getting in it, sit back, andlaunch your favorite game and play for hours.
This chair exudes confidence and looks great.Every angle is flattering from the back to the front, and as soon as you sit in it you can feel its sturdy build and firmness. It doesn’t take long to adjust each setting to your liking before you fall in love with it, at least that was the case for us.
Assemble With Ease
The entire assembly from first opening the box, to having the chair fully assembled and sitting at the desk took 34 minutes. This was done solo, although the instructions do suggest two people assemble the chair. Even the instructions that came with the Titan Evo 2022 felt premium, along with the tool kit provided in the box as well.
The instructions were very straightforward, and everything seemed to go off without a hitch.The simplistic instructions and the minimal tools needed ensured it was an easy and quick process. With magnetic pieces for screw covers and armrests, much of the assembly is simply moving an object to the right area, and it simply clicks into place on its own. The chair’s backrest was surprisingly easy to slide onto the base of the chair - a step that has proven to be challenging on other chairs in the past.
Comfort is King
The Titan Evo 2022 Series comes in three different sizes. This is the first step in ensuring a comfortable fit when buying a gaming chair. If you buy a chair that is much too large for your body, you will find your body aching as you do not have the support you need. If you get a chair that is too small for you… well, that obviously won’t work either!The options the Titan Evo 2022 comes in are Small, Regular, and XL.

The folks at Secretlab haven’t been sleeping when it comes to the comfort or ergonomics of their chairs. It’s clear that a lot of Research and Development work has gone into upgrading their chairs along the way.The seat and backrest are both very firm in all the right ways. Some new users may feel that the chair is too firm at first, but if you have ever had a softer chair, you will know that it can wreak havoc on your back muscles.The firmness we see in the Titan Evo 2022 Series strikes the perfect balance between comfort and support.
From the feel of the Leatherette to the customization of the backrest, tilt, and height, this chair will have you comfortable for long sessions of both work and gaming.
Themagnetic headrest is insanely comfortableand very well integrated. Others have expressed concerns with the fact that the headrest could be bumped off easily due to it only being on magnetically, but we haven’t found this to be an issue at all. From all use of the headrest, there have been no signs of it slipping out of place easily or falling down the backrest.
Along with being adjustable in all 4 directions, the armrests also have an optionalPlushCell Memory Foam Armrest Topyou can add on for even more comfort, if you are looking for an even softer feel.
The Rise of Ergonomics
For the most part, the Secretlab Evo 2022 Series performs great in the ergonomics department. This is a very important category that goes hand in hand with comfort. To have a chair you sit in all day for work, then game in all evening long, the ergonomics need to be top notch. Two nobs control the lumbar support, one on each side of the backrest.
While the lumbar support does definitely help the comfort and ergonomics level,it seems to not go far enough to make the impact it aims for. When you adjust the Lumbar Curvature with the right-side nob, you may feel the lumbar support strengthen or weaken as expected.
The maximum curvature you’re able to get from the nob does not seem to be enough to be fully satisfied in the lumbar support department. The left-side nob adjusted the lumber support area up or down along the backrest. We found that you can barely tell (if at all) that the lumber position is moving when adjusting this nob.
This is our one gripe with the chair, that the lumbar support customization could use some work. Secretlab does offer aLumbar Pillow Proyou can purchase separately which solves this issue, but you would hope that the integrated customization would be a bit more satisfying to get a perfect score.
Adjustment Features
Along with the lumbar support we already discussed in the Ergonomics section, there areseveral other features to fully customize the Titan Evo 2022 to your body. Here are all the ways you can adjust the chair:
On the top of the armrest itself, there is a button to move it left or right. If you want to move it even more than this, you will need to pull out the levers from the bottom of the chair and loosen the screws below the armrest.
Final Verdict
The Secretlab Titan Evo 2022 Series is very comfortable for people who like firm chairs. The firmness also helps with back support, where softer chairs will begin to take a toll on your back much sooner.The chair feels sturdy and solid, well built, and nothing feels flimsy or “cheap”. It comes with all the usual adjustments these higher-end chairs tend to come with so that you can find the perfect balance that fits your body and style.
Assembly of the chair is very easy and quick, even for someone who isn’t great at putting furniture together. It was easy to pull out of the packaging, set it all up, and be confident that everything was in place and working correctly.
The headset is very comfortable and stays in place well with magnetic force. It is easy to move where you want it, whether that is for your neck or the back of your head. The lumbar support is integrated into the chair, but it could use some improvements. If it becomes an issue, there is always alumber pillow available by Secretlab to compensate for this.
The Titan Evo 2022 Series scores a 9 out of 10 and goes down as a supportive, comfortable, and adjustable gaming or office chair for anyone looking for a premium fit and look.
