Cold WarZombies Map Ported To Vanguard
Outbreak, the latestCold WarZombies mode, has been a massive hit with players. But for those that enjoy the more classic round-based Zombies mode, some disappointing news is about to come your way.
CallofDutyHope, a leaker that has a good track record when it comes to all thingsCall of Duty, has revealed that Berlin will be the third and final round-based map forCold WarZombies.
The leaker and data miner took to Twitter to announce that “[Call of Duty] ported a Zombies map that was supposed to release on BOCW to Vanguard and it will be its launch map.” He goes on to state that “Berlin will be the final round based map for BOCW Zombies”.
CallofDutyHope also followed up this claim with another Tweet stating that he had “got this corroborated”.
This news is sure to disappoint a lot of Zombie fans. So, what exactly does it mean for Zombie fans and how does this impact bothCold Warand the upcomingVanguard?
What Does This News Mean For Fans?
There were previous reports from industry insiderTom Hendersonthat the upcomingCall of Dutytitle for 2021,Vanguard, is “a disaster”.
Claims that the final Zombies map forCold Warhas now been ported to Vanguard could line up with Henderson’s statement. IfVanguardtruly is a “disaster” and developers are struggling to meet deadlines, it could mean that Treyarch Studios have ported the map toVanguardto help out their fellow developers.
For fans ofCold War, this isn’t good news. Although this decision likely comes to help out the development ofVanguard, it doesn’t bode well forCold War.
If this information turns out to be true, that would mean Zombies fans will only receive 3 round-based maps inCold WarZombies. Quite the difference fromBlack Ops III,which received a total of 14 Zombies maps.
It’s also important to remember that this a leak, and not official news. There’s still hope that Treyarch Studios may in fact have more maps ready to go forCold WarZombies. For now, we’ll have to wait and see.
