How To Find Acrid
Acrid can be found in the Sunken Tombs, one of the two possible maps for the third stage (the other being the Ancient Valley). Head tothe top right corner of the map(the platform above the water) and look for ametal container by the side of the wall. Approach the container and press theinteractbutton when the prompt pops up. The container will open, andAcrid will emerge from within.Defeat him tounlock him as a playable survivorin the next run.
There are six versions of the Sunken Tombs stage, and only two of them have the container that imprisons Acrid.If you don’t see the container, it means you’re in the wrong variant of the map. Whether or not you get the right version of the map is completely up to chance, so you might have to repeat this process across multiple runs if you’re unlucky.
How To Get Sunken Tombs Variant With Acrid
A way of getting the right variant of this stage is to repeat the run after you reach the end of the fifth map,Temple of the Elders. After you defeat the teleporter boss at the end of Temple of the Elders, you’ll be given the choice of either going to the sixth and final stage, Contact Light, orcontinuing the run. Choose to continue the run, and you will start back from the first map.
The key to this is thatthe map you get during the initial run remains the same if you keep continuing the run. So, if you went through Sunken Tombs to reach the end, you will always get Sunken Tombs as the fourth stage as long as you keep repeating the same run. Only, the variants don’t remain the same the second time.
This means thatif you got the wrong variant the first time, there is a chance you’ll get the right one in the next go. And since you get stronger and stronger as time goes on, getting back to the Sunken Tombs will also become easier.
