Rika had one of the most disturbing pasts inJujutsu Kaisenhistory. At the age of five, her mother unexpectedly passed away from unknown causes. Regarding her father, it was announced that Rika’s father had passed away mysteriously after the two of them became lost while mountain climbing two days before Rika started elementary school.
Rika’s grandmother took her in, believing that she had killed both of her parents. Many people believe Rika murdered her parents when she was five or six years old because she was likely mistreated and tortured by them as a child. This proved that Rika was unhappy in her life before meeting Yuta, who thought for a short period, made her happy.
As Rika was unhappy and had to go through such despair, she was destined to become a cursed spirit, one way or the other. Although she wouldn’t have been as strong as she is now, she surely would have become a cursed spirit because of her past.

Rika was a gentle young girl and Yuta’s childhood friend. She felt that she was in love with Yuta because they had a special bond. When they were younger, Rika lost her life in a tragic car accident.
