One of the oldest horror game series,Resident Evil, will be celebrating its 30th Anniversary next year.

It all started on August 25, 2025, when the first Resident Evil was released for the PlayStation 1, and the franchise has delivered some of the best survival horror games, not just in the series but also of all time.

Resident Evil 30 Year Anniversary New Website Has Easter Eggs Of Its Games

The good news is, more games are on the way, with Resident Evil Requiem set to release next year. But what would Requiem be without its predecessors, and Capcom has rightfully decided to celebrate them on their new website.

New Resident Evil Website Is Here For The 30th Anniversary Celebration Of The Series

You can check out the Resident Evil Portalhere. It begins with paying homage to the series' protagonists, plus Grace Ashcroft, who will be the newest member. This is an interesting choice, which makes sense considering Grace will be starring in the upcoming game.

It would have been nice if they had added Ethan here, considering RE:7 is probably thescariest gamein the series. Not showing his face in both Biohazard and Village sadly cost him his spot.

What makes this art piece even better and special is that if you check the top side of their chairs or look at their feet, you will find easter eggs and connections of these characters to their games. For example, at Leon’s feet, you can see what appears to be Velvet Blue and Redhawk Ammo. Similarly, behind Claire and Jill, we can see their respective enemies, Licker and Nemesis.

Upon scrolling down further, it says, “2026 marks the 30th anniversary of the Resident Evil series!”, plus a logo of a raccoon wearing “Resident Evil 30th Anniversary” 30-shaped glasses with the “Coming Soon” text rotating in the background.

While we may not know what to expect from the upcoming things on the site, what we can speculate on are the easter eggs in Grace’s panel. For starters, we see some large teeth with white bandages; this should be a reference to the enemy we see at the end of Requiem’s trailer.

Next, on her feet, we can see yellow herbs. This could be an indication of Green, Yellow, and Red Herbs coming back to the series.

In Biohazard, green herb can only be mixed with Chem Fluid or Strong Chem Fluid to make different variants of First Aid Med. RE Village had a bit more uses for the green herb, allowing you to also craft various ammo after you get their recipes.

Requiem fans in waiting got a treat as part of an NVIDIA dev diary:Resident Evil Requiem will make use of Path Tracingand DLSS 4. Engine Development and Support Manager, Masaru Ijuin, went into details about how “you can experience path-tracing capabilities that depict light rays using a statistical simulation.”

PC-1

But the most important takeaway here, even if you don’t have the latest GPUs, is that they are “working in partnership with NVIDIA to optimize the game for a wide range of PCs, including PCs with entry-level specs.”

Capcom hasn’t revealed the minimum or recommended hardware requirements yet, but with time, more details should be available soon. Resident Evil Requiem will release on August 19, 2025.
