It is barely a week since the launch of the highly-anticipatedResident Evil 4 Remake, and already fans are releasing some rather interesting mods for the game. In the four days that have passed since Resident Evil 4 Remake’s release, nearly 150 mods have been made available for the PC version of the game via the popular modding networkNexus Mods, with the vast — and hoo boy do I meanvast— majority of these being cosmetic in nature. One of the most notable of these cosmetic mods (or most notorious, take your pick) isrt134’sLeon Kennedy Tramp Stampmod, released yesterday for the PC version of the full game. An homage to the classic Resident Evil 4 mod of the same name, Leon Kennedy Tramp Stamp switches out Leon’s traditional sherpa jacket for a significantly cropped t-shirt, ‘whale tail’, and lower back tattoo — or ‘tramp stamp,’ hence the name of the mod.

With over 14.9K likes onTwitter, not to mention nearly a thousand downloads from the Nexus Mods site, Leon Kennedy Tramp Stamp is easily one of the more popular mods currently available for the PC version of Resident Evil 4 Remake.Another Leon mod, also by rt134, keeps Leon’s jacket on but removes the t-shirt underneath, effectively rendering him shirtless to a point. Those wanting to have a more shirtless experience with Leon S. Kennedy will be thrilled to know that the mod allows for the jacket to be fully removed.

Leon is not the only Resident Evil 4 Remake character who has been modded without abandon, however. Numerous mods are currently available for Ashley Graham, too: one Ashley mod, for example, alters her hairstyleto emulate the cut as seen in the original Resident Evil 4, whereas another replaces the autumnal colors of her blazer, vest, and skirt with themonochrome tonesof NieR Automata’s 2B.

A Krauser modremoves his beret; aPlayable Adamod makes Ada Wong a playable character. While many pay homage to classic if not iconic Resident Evil 4 mods, others are completely original creations, changing not just the characters' costumes, but thevisibility of bear traps, the storage limit of theattache case, and even the game’spersistent blue tint.

That nearly 150 fully-functional mods are already available for Resident Evil 4 Remake is an incredible feat of creativity and industry — and a testament to the enormous amounts of love and fandom that Resident Evil 4 has fostered over the nearly twenty years since its original GameCube release.
