20Auto Dismiss Item Prompts
Remnant 2’s battles can often have a lot happening at once, with even the slightest mistakes leading to your death. While also needing to pick up ammo mid-fight, it’s useful to keep your screen clear instead of having it be cluttered with useless notifications.
Auto Dismiss can be enabled in the settings menu and will automatically dismiss any notifications when you pick up an item. While this may have you losing track of random loot you get throughout a fight, that can always be checked later in a safer setting.

19Prime & Secondary Archetype
After unlocking your second Archetype, you can equip both your new one and the original. With a wide selection of Archetypes to choose from, players will have dozens of combinations to try out.

It is important to determine which Archetype is your Prime or secondary. Your Prime Archetype is the one on the left side of your character screen and will have access to itsPrime Perk. Prime perks are very powerful, so it’s important to verify you have the right one active between your chosen Archetypes.
18Rest Often
Red Crystals act as checkpoints for players to stop and rest at. At these Crystals, you’ll be fully healed, restored relic charges, and full ammo reserves. This will also respawn all enemies you’ve killed, except bosses.

While respawning all of the killed enemies may seem like a pain, killing weaker enemies over and over are an easy way to level up your Archetypes. Resting and rerunning through areas will only see you getting stronger in the long run and is almost always worth the effort.
17Watch Your Armor’s Weight
No matter what armor you wear, getting hit will hurt. Some heavier armor does exist, and this can make getting hit deal much less damage, but will also greatly slow down your dodges.
Dodging is the superior method to staying alive, and being slowed down is not always worth the increased damage reduction. When mixing and matching armor, be sure to give it a few test rolls to make sure you’re still able to dodge out of the way and get more frames of invincibility than when slowed with heavy armor.

16Keep Your Ears Open
Remnant 2 offers many audio cues that players can use to know what they are about to face. While regular enemies will make noise to let you know where they are at, larger enemies get a special sound to let players know something big is coming.
Keep your volume up and listen for these special sounds to know when a larger enemy is about to turn the corner. Hearing this will at least give you a few seconds to react and prepare for what’s coming.

15Mod Your Weapons
While finding the right weapon to fit your play style is important, it’s equally important to find the right mod for whichever weapon you decide to use.Weapon modsare bonus abilities that operate on a cooldown, giving your weapon a unique ability to perform on top of simply firing.
Weapon mods are created using items dropped from bosses and can be easily swapped on and off your weapons. Try out different mod combinations to find out which ones work best for your play style and further build off of your Archetype.

14Check Around Ward 13
When you first arrive in Ward 13, you’ll be tasked with walking around and meeting the people who will be helping you on your journey. Note where these people are, as their upgrades are vital to getting further inRemnant 2’s many worlds.
While many of the people in Ward 13 are introduced to you, there are many who aren’t. Almost everyone in Ward 13 offers you something, often being additional shops that sell unique items. Meet and check with everyone in Ward 13 to make sure you’re spending your scraps the right way.
13Perfect Your Relic
Your relic is one of the most important tools in your arsenal. No matter your Archetype, your relic will be your go-to source of healing, with you being able to upgrade it and make it even more efficient.
The more basic upgrade will simply increase the amount of times you can use it. You can also switch out the starting relic with other ones found throughout the game, giving players additional bonuses beyond just getting healed.
12Utilize Consumables
Status effects can be devastating, leaving you in a difficult boss battle fighting at a disadvantage. While some status effects are more frustrating to deal with than others, many can be cured with consumables.

When preparing for a difficult boss, be sure to bring additional consumables to provide you with buffs or ways to counter the boss’s effect. While your relic will get your HP full, use consumables to get rid of nasty status effects.
11Prioritize Your Traits
Remnant 2 gives players many different traits to begin leveling up, with more being unlocked as they progress through the game. Trait points will be found while exploring, but just because you have the points doesn’t mean you should use them right away.
Figure out how you want to prioritize your character’s abilities and upgrade your traits when you know exactly what you want. It may sometimes make sense to save a few trait points until after you’ve found and unlocked a new trait.
