For those who haven’t yet had the chance to jump into Rockstar’s Wild West classic, now’s your chance asRed Dead Redemption 2hits PS Plus Extra and Premium games this month. The perfect playground for cowboys and cowgirls, it has been a favorite among gamers since its release on the P44 in 2018. Although it came with visual enhancements, better graphics and faster load times when it transitioned to the PS5, an enhanced edition isn’t far from fans' minds.

Players are now debating ifRockstardid bring RDR2 into the technically advanced world that included a 60fps option like they did withGTA 5, how much would it be reasonable to charge?

“I’m Sure Your Hill Has A Lovely View” Assassin’s Creed Origins Actor Expresses Dismay at Yasuke Controversy

Abubakar Salim, the actor who played Assassin’s Creed Origins Bayek comments on the controversy surrounding Shadow’s Yasuke.

It has certainly been a point of frustration about why Rockstar hasn’t given one of its most successful titles a facelift. Players have been crying out for RDR2 to be given an enhanced edition for years now, and it’s already been shown that Red Dead Redemption 2 is more than capable of running at 60fps on the PS5 as showcased in amodlast year. Rockstar did, however, spring a surprise patch to the game, its first in over two years, which included improvements like FSR 2.2, support for HDR10, and a fix for the Red Dead Online freezing glitch, but again, it’s not what players really wanted and that’s 60fps on consoles.

Red Dead Redemption 2 Player Manages To Run The Game On An Android Phone

In a Twitter/X post by Rockstar fan@videotechuk_, it was put to the RDR2 community that if Rockstar decided to offer an enhanced version, how much would fans want to pay for it? The stipulations put forward for the enhanced version would be that it would come with a “60fps mode and an enhanced 4K mode with ultra PC settings, DualSense and 3D audio support, and Rockstar Editor.”

Many of the comments on this were understandably mixed, as some thought that offering the enhanced version for free if you already own the game would be a good starting point since it has been a long wait, but as Rockstar fans know, that’s not really how it works. Most are in agreement that they would not pay full price for it, so anything in the region of $60-$70 would be a bit of a slap in the face. That’s unless they add new content like a DLC, but that also seems unlikely.

The top contender from fans looks to be that they would buy the upgrade if it came with a $10 price tag, which seems reasonable since that’s exactlywhat Naughty Dog didwith The Last of Us Part 2 Remastered. Only time will tell, but since RDR2 is considered one of Rockstar’s greatest achievements, in line with GTA 5, and has sold over 61 million copies to date, the demand is there for an enhanced version instead of updates and patches that fans don’t want. Here’s hoping Rockstar listens to player feedback and can offer a juicy upgrade to this still hugely popular title.
