We are now entering another full-scalePokemon GOevent as part of March’s Season of Legends.

Excluding things like Community Day and Spotlight Hours, we’re now into event number three, titled Weather Week. Weather Week follows the Electric-type event “Charge Up”, which in turn followed Searching for Legends.

Within Weather Week, players are faced with a range of Pokemon that like adverse weather conditions. As part of this, we’ve also seen some fresh raid boss changes, including a very popular returning legendary - Rayquaza.

With that in mind, let’s check out Rayquaza weakness and how to take it down inPokemon GO.

Rayquaza Weakness Pokemon GO

Rayquaza is a Dragon and Flying-type Pokemon (which is great for theAll in One #151challenge). It also means the Pokemon has a range of weaknesses, most importantly a 4x weakness to Ice. Additionally, Rayquaza has a double weakness to Dragon, Fairy and Rock-type moves.

Best Counters For Rayquaza’s Weaknesses

As stated, your best bet here is Ice Pokemon.

In terms of Mega PokemonÂMega Abomasnowis the only real viable option. Unfortunately, however, it does suffer double damage against Rayquaza’s Flying-type moves. It still could be worth the risk though, as it will provide a boost to other trainers Ice-type Pokemon.

In terms of Ice-type Pokemon.Galarian Darmanitan,ÂMamoswine,ÂWeavileand Glaceonare your top four picks here.JynxandBearticare also good budget counters.

If you can’t fill a team with high-level Ice-types, you should bulk the team out with one or two rock types. Consider bringingRhyperior, RampardosandTyranitar from here.

It’s recommended that a minimum of four high-level players try to take on Rayquaza.
