Others also highlighted the tarnished reputation of the former Hollywood producer, viewing his health woes as a form of karma.“That’s karma, he might find a way to get [out] of the charges put against him, but he’s disgraced and now sick,”one X (Twitter) user said.

In a 4-3 ruling, the New York Court of Appeals determined that the judge in Weinstein’s trial had shown prejudice by allowing testimony from women about allegations that were not directly related to his case.

While the court has ordered a re-trial in New York, the former Hollywood mogulwill remain imprisoned for a separate convictionfor r*pe in Los Angeles in 2022, for which he was sentenced to an additional 16 years in prison.
