Late last month it was first revealed that there would be aPokemon Sword and Shield24-hour researchlivestream. One that would potentially showcase something brand new from the Galarian region. And aftermostly nothingin the long stream event, fans were finally treated to a unique site: a Galarian Ponyta:

According toSerebii:

The stream came to an end with two Ponyta (once again confirmed by the classic Ponyta cry) coming to the area, playing, and then running away. When the camera went black, you could hear a Rapidash. One of the Ponyta appears to lack a tail. It’s currently unclear why this is the case.

Hopefully we’ll get more information on this new form at a later date.

After Game Informer reported thatPokemon Sword and Shieldwill feature 18 gyms, developer Game Freak has clarified that statement by sayingit won’t featurethat many gyms.

There are two other recent trailers forPokemon Sword and Shield. The firstshowed off Team Yell, new Pokemon forms and evolutions, a new Pokemon, and new rivals. The secondshowcased more gameplay, new abilities, moves, and held items.
