For the third Spotlight Hour of the month, fans will be able to see Stufful more often in the wild. Stufful’s resemblance to a bear cub makes it one of the most beloved Pokemon, albeit being added not that long ago, in Generation VII as part of the Alola region. Stufful’s evolution is even more adorable, as it resembled pretty much a teddy bear. The event will be kickstarting at 6 pm local time and lasts for an hour, which gives players ample amount of time to catch the Pokemon, as well as collect some candies for the evolution. If you don’t own a shiny Stufful, there is some good news for you, as this week’s Spotlight Hour will be featuring a shiny variant of the Pokemon. For starters, the shiny variant of Stufful has a golden head, as compared to the pink color of the regular variant. While the differences are quite distinct, the sparkles would make it easier for you to spot if it’s a shiny variant. Additionally, if you are looking for Shiny Bewear, it should be noted that Shiny Bewear is not available in the wild. Instead, you can simply try to find a shiny Stufful and evolve it to Bewear to get its shiny variant.
The only drawback of Spotlight Hour events is the shiny odds, which remain unchanged despite the massive increase in the spawn rates of the Pokemon. The increased spawn rate does give you an edge, but the extremely low odds ensure that you will likely need to play for the entire duration of the event to get lucky. Thankfully, there are bonuses such as twice the amount of XP for catching Pokemon this week, which gives you added incentive to actively take part in the event.
