For this week’s Spotlight Hour, Niantic is adding Rufflet, a Normal/Flying-type, as a featured Pokemon. It hails from the Unova region all the way from Generation V and evolves into Braviary. Players would be able to recall the famous Hisuian variant of the Pokemon from Pokemon Legends: Arceus. The event will kick off at 6 pm local time, and players will get an hour to make the most of the event. During the course of the event, Rufflet will be appearing much more often in the wild, so if you don’t have the Pokemon, now is the time to add it to your collection.
Pokemon Go Rufflet July Spotlight Hour Shiny Status & Bonuses
As far as the shiny status of Rufflet is concerned, players would be elated to know that aShiny Rufflet indeed exists in the game. to differentiate between a regular and shiny variant, players canlook into the body features of the Rufflet, as theshiny variant has some striking differences compared to a regular one. For instance, ashiny Rufflet is brown in color, but theregular variant is purpleinstead, which makes it really easy to spot. Additionally, players will be able to see the sparkles associated with shiny Pokemon when they see one, so that should make the job of spotting one significantly easier as well.
While ashiny variant of Rufflet exists in Pokemon Go, players should keep in mind that the shiny rates stay the same every week, so that would not necessarily mean that players have a better chance of catching one. The increased spawn rate does increase your odds, however, so it is still not a really bad idea to go shiny hunting, coupled with the bonuses for the event. The bonus for the event is twice the amount of Stardust for catching Pokemon. Considering the fact that this applies to all Pokemon and not just Rufflet, players should definitely make the most of the event.
