PlayStation Japan has released a new sizzle reel featuring some upcoming games headed to the PS5 this year. For those not familiar with this kind of trailer, it’s usually a mash-up of different titles from various studios (first- and third-party) that’s spliced together to drum up hype.
The video’s concept is “departing from a small, unique room into the vast world of games,” so the animation features a room with the characters playing in front of a TV and then transitioning to a game.

The video’s vocalist is popular Japanese artist Akari Nanawo. The video’s visuals change according to the world view of the different games, while the music is meant to express the charm and view of each title represented.

It’s Sony PlayStation Japan blending art and games, and I’m all for it. Hopefully, the next sizzle reel we get from the US can match up to this one’s vibe.
