While the highly anticipated fight ended up being somewhat of a letdown, fans, including P Diddy and Mark Wahlberg, were excited to see it all unfold. The two top names in the industry released a video betting on their preferred boxer and let’s just say that it didn’t end too well for Mark Wahlberg.
When they sat down to place their bets, it went without saying that they were going to go big. While the value began at $100,000, Mark Wahlberg wasn’t convinced with the“little”amount Diddy had proposed. Unfortunately, the actor’s confidence backfired.

Mark WahlbergandDiddywere no different. The now-imprisoned industry mogul posted a video to his Instagram (viaYouTube) where he and Wahlberg could be seen discussing the fight that was to come.

When asked“Who you got in the fight?”Diddy simply replied, “I got Mayweather. I’m going with the money team, baby.”As for Wahlberg, he chose to be on Pacquiao’s team.
Then when Diddy proposed a bet of a hundred thousand dollars on the fight, Wahlberg stated that it was too little and they eventually ended up placing a bet worth $250,000. Insane.

The event in itself was crazy to begin with. Since it was televised through pay-per-view by HBO and Showtime, the PPV alone broke revenue records in the history of the country, bringing in $410 million in revenue.
Tons of people showed up at the arena to witness the brawl including celebrities like Beyoncé, Christian Bale, Ben Affleck, Donald Trump, and so on.

While fans expected a full-on brawl between the two powerhouses, what they got was much of a disappointment instead. Regardless, Mayweather won despite playing it safe. The judges scored it 118–110, 116–112, 116–112 – a unanimous decision in favor of the boxer.
This means that the ‘Battle for Greatness’ ended with making Diddy $250 million richer and left Wahlberg wondering why he bet on ‘PacMan.’
