Earlier today,Blizzardannouncedthat Season 3 ofOverwatch 2will begin tomorrow, February 7. Alongside all the normal additions you would expect from a major content patch, is included a dating sim for the game’s Valentine’s Day event.

In a blog post and YouTube trailer, the Overwatch 2 team detailed all the new things coming to the game tomorrow. Included in their list was Loverwatch, a non-canon text-based dating sim game where you may choose to romance Genji or Mercy with the assistance of acupid-themed Hanzo. Completion rewards you with a special romantic ‘Play of the Game’ for use in Overwatch 2 proper.

Loverwatch will go live on February 13 and can be accessed athttps://www.Loverwatch.gg(tell ‘em DualShockers sent ya). It comes just one day ahead of the actual in-game Valentine’s event which consists of a special 4v4 Hanzo Limited Time Mode with special challenges awarding two epic skins and other items. Both special game modes will end on the 28th of this month.

After the honeymoon phase is over, players will be able to enjoy Season 3 through less amorous eyes, which brings with it a slew of skins and changes. At the forefront of the season is its “asian mythology” theme, featuring character skins inspired by Chinese, Korean, and Japanese aesthetics. Kiriko’s golden mythic skin is centered as the highlight of the season.

There also appears to be an effort to incentivize play by making items easier to earn or cheaper to purchase. Reward additions and changes include the following:

A new Control map will also come with the update, Arctic Peninsula, first seen in the"Rise and Shine" cinematic5 years ago, complete with cute penguins.

Two events will award two skins forDoomfistandRoadhog. Doomfist will become a rank S hero with his One Punch Man skin available during collaboration from March 7 to April 6. Meanwhile, Roadhog will prove he has many layers to him with the return of his PachiMarchi skin obtainable during an event running from March 21 to April 4.

There will also beseveral quality of life changes and balance tweaksto accompany the Overwatch World Cup Celebration,finally returning after three years hiatus. With someplayers already up in armsover Blizzard’s actions in Overwatch alone, we shall see if this love bomb of new features and changes can enamor players to get serious and commit to a long-term relationship with Overwatch 2.
