Nothing would capture the attention ofOne Piecefans more than another adventure with their beloved pirate crew, and nowOne Piece Odyssey, the biggest game in the franchise to date, has finally gotten a release date.
One Piece Odyssey is set for release early next year, on January 13, on PS4, PS5, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and Steam. The game was made to commemorate a 25-year journey with Luffy and his friends and to build upon the hype from the manga, setting the stage for the final climax.

According to the trailer, Luffy and his crew (Except for Brook?) will be visiting a new island called Waford. No pirates would ever come back from this island except the very brave, and the reason is quickly revealed. A girl living on the island dislikes pirates, and she has the power to seal their abilities into cubes, which cannot be recovered except by special means. It seems as though the girl will open her heart to Luffy and his crew, but in order to bring back the things they lost, they will have to travel to the past — to the memories of the times they spent with their friends and the old locations of their adventures.

There is a hint by the end of the trailer that they will be returning to Alabasta, the desert island where they met their friend Vivi, and also where the crew got to meet Robin for the first time. It’s unknown, however, if the events will be the same or if things will happen differently, as pastreportssuggest that the game’s focus will be exploring the individuality of each character and how they overcome obstacles in their own unique ways. It is built as a turn-based game with that vision in mind, so it appears the game will be centered around enjoying the already established story arcs, but in a way unique to One Piece Odyssey.
Interested players can now preorder from theofficial website. Only the standard edition is available at the moment, but according to the trailer, there will be a pre-order pack with traveling outfits and helpful items, in addition to the Deluxe pack with additional in game items and accessories. An upcoming DLC is also in the works to give players a head start with 100,000 Berry (The currency of the One Piece World). Asteampage is also now available.
