His loyalty to his family made him practically unstoppable combined with all of that. With all of these traits, it’s no wonderOne Piecefans want more of Katakuri and we might just get that.
Most fans might want him to team up with Monkey D. Luffy after the two ended up respecting each other during their battle. However, this new theory suggests Katakuri will join the Cross Guild to rescue someone very important to him and he needs a much stronger team to do so.
Charlotte Pudding, another child of Charlotte Linlin and Sanji’s former fiancée, has been imprisoned by the Blackbeard Pirates due to her ability to read Poneglyphs. The Blackbeard Pirates are one of the worst and most formidable enemies inOne Piece.Without other allies who could hold up against them, who better than Mihawk, Crocodile and Buggy, all of who are former Warlords?
Why Katakuri Needs the Cross Guild More Than He Needs Luffy
The Cross Guild, accidentally led by Buggy but really led by Mihawk and Crocodile, will certainly be a dangerous contender for the race to the One Piece.Eiichiro Odahas written them to be important in theOne Pieceuniverse as their existence introduced a new bounty system for Marines, giving criminals a huge advantage and no longer giving Marines a sense of safety. This ended up making Buggy an Emperor due to the level of threat the Cross Guild posed against the World Government.

However,Katakuri will need a strong teamagainst the Blackbeard Pirates and he needs the Warlords, especially the strongest swordsman, to rescue Pudding. While it would be heartwarming and exciting to see him reunite with Luffy, it isn’t the young pirate’s time to face Blackbeard, yet. Thus,Katakuri is likely to join forces with them, if only temporarily. It might not be the most ideal team up but could be a necessary move to get Pudding back.
Family Is Incredibly Important to Katakuri
During the Whole Cake Island Arc, the Charlotte Family truly looks up to Katakuri for his strength and his role as their protector. In return, Katakuri took his duties as an elder brother seriously, going as far as to cover his mouth to maintain his perfect image. So there’s no way Katakuri will let Pudding be imprisoned for longer.

The Cross Guild would be his next best option as they’re filled with powerful and smart pirates around the Grand Line. Will Katakuri join forces with them?
