Elden Ringis a tough game to master, and it’s no easy task to reach the endgame and feel like you’re worthy of becoming the Elden Lord. However, some players defeat a couple of bosses, level up a bit, and believe they’re mightier than everything the game has to offer.

Elden Ring game potential

Of course, this false sense of comfort and confidence comes from playing the game well, but players often underestimate how challenging the game gets every time they believe they’re even a little overpowered than usual.

The Reddit community seems to have humbled one such player

Some time ago, user E-C-3posteda couple of screenshots of their game’s progress. This showcased their characters’ stats, weapons/build, and more. From the looks of it, seems like they’ve reached Leyndell, Royal Capital, a place some of you might be quite familiar with. If not, well, let’s just say this place has bosses that might make you want to quit the game entirely.

As soon as the player posted their progress with the statement,‘I’m finding it too easy right now’, the community didn’t take too kindly to that. Here’s a comment by user TarnishedDungEater in particular that might have given them a dose of reality right after:

Elden Ring more ways of playing

i remember seeing someone describe these games perfectly not too long ago (and i’m kinda paraphrasing) but they said “if you think that you’re too strong or the games getting easy, you’re about to run into the enemy/boss that’s supposed to whoop your a*s”

These are pretty much facts sinceElden Ringhas a reputation for making things tougher the moment you feel a breeze of fresh air hit your confident face. After all, the game has more than 200 bosses and several weapons/builds with distinct movesets and abilities, and to be prepared for all of them at once? Now that’s a distant dream.

The hype for Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree is bringing back older days

WhenElden Ringlaunched two years ago, the community was not only celebrating the game’s success but also sharing their experiences and guidance with everyone who was new to the game. What kind of build is the best? Where to go first? What areas to explore at the beginning? Now, as players eagerly wait for the expansion, it seems like we’re going back in time.

This is quite natural, given how the hype for any game (or its DLC) often rekindles interest in the community, bringing in new players from different platforms. In the case ofElden Ring,it looks like many players are giving the game their first try, while other players are trying out new builds and getting alternate endings.

As the anticipation for the DLC builds up, so does the potential for new ways of‘gittin’ gud’atElden Ring. While certain overconfident players figure out a way to accept the reality of what lies forward, there’s still a lot to explore in the game for older fans of the franchise.
