Epic Games has seen a huge amount of success since the release of their Battle RoyaleFortniteand much of this success can be c credited to the game’s constantly changing landscape and the very successful collaborations the company has undertaken with fan-favorite companies such as Marvel and even with popular animated TV series such asRick and Mortyand of course who could forget theFortnitexFamily Guycrossover.
So it comes as no surprise that the game is adding yet another beloved property to its already impressive resume in the form of one of Nickelodeon’s most popular franchisesAvatar: The Last Airbenderand fans are seriously excited about one addition to the game.
What has fans so excited about the newest addition to Fortnite
The addition that has garnered the most attention from fans over the game is the addition of a new glider, which brings a lot of the show’s fans’ biggest dreams to life. The dream in question is the player’s own Appa which they can use to traverse the skies of the map as if they were the Avatar.

This new addition has sent fans of both the game and the show into a flurry on social media with many fans expressing their excitement on X with some users posting a clip of the new glider in action within the game. With one fan expressing their love for the character.

It looks as if this new addition toFortniteis a resounding success with so much love and positive support for the glider. Epic Games have struck gold with this one and it is not hard to see why, Appa is one of the most adored animals in animated television and fans are going to be overjoyed with the ability to play with him, not to mention the resurgence in popularity for the character with the new live-action show on Netflix.

The model for the glider is incredibly detailed as is the style of this game with the glider having an amazing look and feel while your character surfs its back which some fans have expressed a little disappointment over because in the show Aang always sat on Appas’s back but this is a minor issue fans are overwhelmingly positive to finally getting their wish of owning their own Appa. The glider is surprisingly easy to earn all it takes is completing some in-game quests and collecting 6 books
