With the many theories surrounding the nature of Loki’s Devil Fruit, it’s sufficient to sayOne Piecefans aren’t tired of thinking about it. Loki’s introduction and the Straw Hats’ arrival in Elbaph are long-awaited so the buzz is inevitable, especially with how insane the Elbaph Prince looks. He even declared himself to be the Sun God which furthers the mystery of who the real successor of Nika is or whether the Sun God he mentioned refers to a different mythological figure altogether.

Loki declares himself as the Sun God in One Piece.

With Loki imprisoned in Seastone shackles, it’s impossible to know what the Accursed Prince’s true powers are and if he’s bluffing. Considering the strongest army in theOne Pieceworld finds him dangerous and keeps him this way, he’s also potentially the strongest villain so far. His powers might be more aligned with Norse mythology, keeping in line with Elbaph’s theme of Viking Age Scandinavia.

Loki’s Devil Fruit Could Be Based on Skoll, A Wolf From Norse Mythology

In Norse mythology, Skoll, also known as the Sun Wolf, is a giant wolf who chases the sun and if he catches it, itwill start Ragnarok. It’s also interesting that his name means “treachery” or “mockery”, the two prominent traits we’ve seen in Loki so far. He killed his own father, King Herald, meaning he is quite capable of betraying those close to him. Moreover, he has consistently messed with and mocked Luffy, targeting the boy’s relationship with Shanks. Moreover, the Accursed Prince wants to bring the destruction of the world, endingOne Pieceas we know it.

2 Evidences That Reveal Loki’s Devil Fruit Power- One Piece Theory Debunks Eiichiro Oda’s Elbaf Hints Better Than Ever Before

While otherNorse figures like Helor evenSurtr might fit the bill, fans cannot rule out the possibility of another Mythical Zoan Fruit that could be a model variation of the Inu Inu no Mi. Some fans have theorized his Devil Fruit could beInu Inu no Mi, Model: Skoll, just like Yamato’s Inu Inu no Mi, Model: Okuchi no Makami. It gave him the ability to turn into an ancient wolf deity so another variation may exist but with Norse mythology. Loki’s powers have been foreshadowed as rare and strong so it wouldn’t be a surprise he has a Mythological Zoan Fruit.

There haven’t been enough references to Skoll in popular media but the 2018 game,God of War,stands out for its rich Norse mythology and inclusion of the Sun Wolf. There aren’t many similarities in appearance between Loki and Skoll in pictures, although maybe his plentiful beard is a giveaway that he’s quite furry.

What We Know About Loki So Far inOne Piece

We know very little about Elbaf’s Prince. It was a surprise to us all that Loki turned out to be this dangerous and even imprisoned, threatening to end the world, considering he was worshipped by his country a few arcs earlier. However, what’s even more surprising is thatLuffy seems to have made a deal with him, ignoring the several threats and unhinged behavior he’s exhibited.

Not knowing what the deal is so far, fans have theorized it could be vital information on Shanks in exchange for releasing him. The boy might be gullible enough to do that but strong enough to bring him down. Some fans also believe Loki might become an ally of the Straw Hats later on, although this seems unlikely with how the giants speak of him and his actions so far. What couldEiichiro Odahave in store for him?
