His powers might be more aligned with Norse mythology, keeping in line with Elbaph’s theme of Viking Age Scandinavia.
Loki’s Devil Fruit Could Be Based on Skoll, A Wolf From Norse Mythology
In Norse mythology, Skoll, also known as the Sun Wolf, is a giant wolf who chases the sun and if he catches it, itwill start Ragnarok. It’s also interesting that his name means “treachery” or “mockery”, the two prominent traits we’ve seen in Loki so far. He killed his own father, King Herald, meaning he is quite capable of betraying those close to him. Moreover, he has consistently messed with and mocked Luffy, targeting the boy’s relationship with Shanks.
