Chainsaw Manhas been one of the most popular anime of 2023. Even though the last episode of its first season aired on August 15, 2025, its craze was carried on to 2023. Not only the anime, the manga has also become one of the most-read manga and became a permanent member of the top ten most popular manga by Shueisha’s Manga Plus app.
Chainsaw Manended part one and has progressed into its second part, which showcased a calmer Denji. In this part, he is busy taking care of Nayuta, the reincarnation of the Control Devil. But Tatsuki Fujimoto is pretty handy with his work and recently brought back a fan-favourite character that the fandom thought had died in the first episode.Chainsaw Manchapter 150 revealed that Pochita is still alive.
Pochita Is Alive and Well inChainsaw Man
Initially it was shown that Pochita is the pet of Denji. But after Denji suffered critical wounds from Devils while on a mission by the Yakuza, Pochita decided to sacrifice in order to save him. They both came under a contract thatPochitawould become Denji’s heart, and in return, Denji would show him his dreams. But if Denji ever broke the contract, then the Chainsaw Devil would take full control of his body.
The fandom thought that Pochita died after it became Denji’s heart. But inChainsaw Manchapter 150, Pochita returns, revealing that he is well and alive. He reappears again to give Denji the nudge to return to his normal life. When coming under contract, Denji promised to show Pochita his dreams, but now that Denji is busy protecting Nayuta, he has left his past life and is looking forward to a new life.
Pochita’s return signifies that he came back to bring back the Chainsaw Devil. It is Denji’s fate to be the Chainsaw Man. Even though it looks like Denji is satisfied with his life, Pochita’s return confirms that, deep inside, Denji wants to return to his old self.

Pochita’s return was a major development in Chainsaw Man. The fans are overjoyed with Pochita’s return. It looked like Pochita was always alive and could hear everything that Denji said to him but kept quiet until the right moment came. The Flamethrower Devil burned down his apartment and killed all of his pet dogs. So, Pochita chose this as the right time to reveal himself to Denji and push him towards pushing the chain on his chest.
After the Flamethrower Devil event incident and, subsequently, Pochita’s appearance, it looks like the fans will again get to see the Chainsaw Man in action. Denji might finally retaliate against the Chainsaw Man Church. Previously, during the incident withBarem Bridge, and Nayutacould not force him to return to his true form, but Pochita’s return is likely to do the trick.
