The Marvel Cinematic Universe is something Ryan Gosling would love to be a part of, even though he has not starred in any superhero flicks yet. Not only that, but he already knows the character he would most like to play.

The 43-year-old star ofBarbieandThe Fall Guyrecently expressed his staunch interest in playing Johnny Blaze in a futureGhost Riderproject, a role played by Nicolas Cage in MCU flicks.Having said that, during a chat withHappy Sad Confused’s Josh Horowitz, Gosling dropped the bombshell that he would be more than willing to don the fiery chains of the iconic anti-hero.
But during the interview, Emily Blunt was so appalled and disappointed by her co-star’s abrupt change of heart regarding doing a superhero flick. But note that, as of right now, there is still no concrete word on Marvel Studios’ intentions to resurrect the Spirit of Vengeance in theaters.

The actor responded as follows when Horowitz questioned him about receiving Feige’s approval:

I told Josh I would like to play Ghost Rider. He found Kevin Feige, corners him, does an interview with him. When he says, ‘I would like this,’ all the lights go off’.
Gosling answered in a guarded manner, “I do not know”,when asked if there had been any significant progress made in that area.Meanwhile, sitting right next to Gosling, Emily Blunt, 41, could hardly contain her shock and disappointmentat herThe Fall Guyco-star’s sudden change of heart.

Calling him a “turncoat”, she couldn’t believe that he would be willing to star in a superhero film after they both previously shared a mutual disdain for the genre.She asked Gosling:
