However, many would be surprised to know that these two movies have successfully made their way into the top 20 list. However, neither of them managed to break into the top 10.
Reddit’s Top 10 2023 Movies List
American social news aggregation forum,Reddithas finally compiled the list of favorite movies released last year. This list is prepared through poll ratings of popular movies attached on forums. The platform users have rated their preferred movies on a scale from 1-10 including a vote which stated whether they would recommend the project or not.
Sony’s Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verseattained the top spot with a mean score of 9.18, whereas Netflix’sSociety of the Snowis second with an average score of 9.11.
Toho’sGodzilla Minus Onetook the third spot with a 9.03 average rating andRenaissance: A Film by Beyoncecame 4th with an 8.73 mean rating. The other six movies and their mean scores are as follows:All of Us Strangers(8.68),The Holdovers(8.64),Nimona(8.59),The Iron Claw and Past Lives(8.48 both) andLinoleum(8.44).
While the top 10 list featured some Oscar-nominated pictures, the 11-20th positions rankings will surely surprise movie enthusiasts as Keanu Reeves’sJohn Wickwas far behind Taylor Swift’s concert film.

On the other hand,Keanu Reeves, who has cemented a strong legacy with several action projects, returned to his legendary hitman role in 2023’sJohn Wick: Chapter 4.Despite critical acclaim and outstanding performance, the movie ended up on the 20th spot with a mean score of 8.2.
Next after Swift’s project was Christopher Nolan’s Oscar-nominated movie,Oppenheimerwith an average score of 8.36. With a worldwide gross of over $957 million, the Cillian Murphy-led project is the third-highest-grossing movie of last year.
The next projects in line after Nolan’s movie wereThey Cloned Tyrone, Are You There God?
