Trailer aftertrailerhas come out for the upcomingPaper Mariotitle,Paper Mario: The Origami King. In fact, I can count four for the upcoming title right now - and after watching them you’d think you know everything about the game. But apparently, you would be wrong. Because Nintendo is hosting a Treehouse Live event (the same kind we’ve seen at E3 events in the past) focused almost entirely on this upcomingPaper Mariotitle.

Nintendo’s Treehouse Live event will air tomorrow, July 10, at 10 am PST or 1 pm EST. According to a tweet regarding the event, gameplay ofPaper Mario: The Origami Kingwill be shown, although we’ve seen a decent amount of that already. In fact, the latest bit of gameplay that’s been shown has caused a bit of a stir, with fans of the series upset that this latest entry is continuing to depart from the first twoPaper Marioentries. A notable complaint is the lack of experience points in the RPG, as well as the addition of item durability.

Tomorrow’s Treehouse Live event won’t focus solely onPaper Mariohowever. Part of the event will also be dedicated to a new title from WayForward, the developers ofRiver City Girlsand theShantaefranchise. Specifically, WayForward will be revealing a new game in a new franchise, along with gameplay. According to a follow-up tweet from Nintendo of America, this franchise won’t be based on any Nintendo IP’s and will instead be entirely third party content.

If you are excited about the upcomingPaper Mariotitle, tomorrow’s Treehouse Live event is sure to give you what you want. And for the remainder, there will be some news about a new game from a successful developer. I don’t think there will be many losers in tomorrow’s event (except for the folks still waiting forMetroid Prime 4). You can catch tomorrow’s Nintendo Treehouse Live event onNintendo’s siteor onNintendo’s YouTube channel.
