Firaxis has been hard at work looking to optimizeCivilization 7’s UI, and their newest update, Patch 1.1.1, features plenty of UI polish.
Several updates are here, much to the joy of the game’s disgruntled fanbase with the game’s current state.

Notably, Civilization 7 has improved the readability of health bars, including makingSettlementhealth bars stand out from the crowd more effectively. It’s a step in the right direction, as there was so much in-game clutter that it became difficult to interpret key information. You’ll also be better informed when your districts are under attack instead of it being a surprise.
Honestly, my favorite update concerns trade routes: You can now see available trade routes through the Lens panel.

Newest Civ 7 Patch Also Contains Hero Balancing
It’s not all about updating the UI;Firaxishas introduced several balance updates for the game’s civs andleaders, including a 5% nerf to Maya’s Uwaybil K’uh Quarter Production.
Honestly, it’s a lot of nerfs for the game’sleadersand civs, which begs the question: why not buff the weaker options? One fan isn’t happy about this:

“Ok so they blanket nerfed most of the fun aspects of the civs, now we get longer games but not necessarily more strategic ones.
Not seeing how this makes a better game at all. Shouldn’t tuning comeafterfixing core mechanics?”

I agree with them; not only should the game’s core mechanics be addressed first, but I’m of the belief that it’s better to buff under performing options rather than nerf the “overpowered ones.”
More updates are on the way, as Firaxis is working hard to prepare Update 1.2.0, which is currently set to be released this April. Additional UI refinements are expected next month.
