Multiple sources, includingThe Hollywood Reporter, Variety, and Deadline, confirmed on Monday that the well-known anime franchise,My Hero Academiawould be getting a live-action adaptation, and Netflix would be working on the project. Soon after the report, the news flooded the internet. Although not much information has been revealed at the moment, a few big names were mentioned in the report, which suggests that the upcoming live-action movie will be a huge spectacle for fans.RELATED:Best-Selling Manga Series Of 2022The renowned Japanese filmmaker and screenwriter Shinsuke Sato will be directing the movie. Sato is best known for his remarkable works in Death Note: Light Up the New World, Bleach, Inuyashiki, Kingdom, and several others. Joby Harold, who worked on Obi-Wan Kenobi, will provide the screenplay for the movie. His other upcoming projects include Transformers: Rise of the Beasts and The Flash. Film production company Legendary Entertainment is also included in the project, with Mary Parent and Alex Garcia stepping up as producers. In Japan, Toho Co. Kohei Horikoshi’s My Hero Academia first started its original run in Shueisha in July 2014, and shortly after, it became one of the biggest names in the shonen anime category. Given the huge fan base and appreciation from the fans, the creators decided to give an anime adaptation to the series. Currently, the series is running on its sixth season and has several manga spin-offs, video games, and anime films.

My Hero Academia is set up in a world where most of the population has gained special powers known as Quirks, giving them unique abilities. Among the world filled with superhuman beings, Izuku is one of the few people with no abilities at all. He always looks up at people with powers with sparkling eyes, especially his idol All Might. Izuku’s fate changes after he meets his idol, who chooses him to be the successor to his mighty powers. He then enrolls in UA High School and thus starts his journey of becoming the greatest hero the world has ever seen.
