While many expected a full-blown reboot with fresh faces, Kevin Feige seems to be having a blast using the Multiverse Saga to revisit Fox’s X-Men era before hitting the reset button.

While Kevin Feige has hinted that the X-Men will be a major part of the MCU afterAvengers: Secret Wars, no official casting decisions have been made. Some fans believeSecret Warswill reset the MCU entirely, making it so the X-Men were always part of the universe.
That would mean fresh faces for classic roles, though Hugh Jackman might just keep slashing away as Wolverine till he is 90. Either way, there’s still plenty of time to lock in the next generation of X-Men, but the idea of Schafer stepping in as Mystique’s is certainly intriguing!
