The firstMy Hero One’s Justicewas a decently well-recieved game upon release. Many praised it for being a relatively easy to pick up fighting game but felt the combat got stale quickly. It felt like a decent first entry for the popular anime franchise. With the second game, the hope is that they’ve learned from the first, and will be able to improve their efforts with the sequel.

My Hero One’s Justice 2promises to be “bigger, badder, and quirkier”. If the trailer is any indication, they certainly seem to have the quirkiness down. The combat looks fast and flashy. I also really love how colorful the visuals are. It really makes the game pop out on the screen. Bandai Namco is also saying there will be even more characters added to the roster than in the original. So far, onlyIzuku Midoriya(Deku) and Kai Chisaki (Overhaul) are confirmed on the official website, but watchful fans will be able to confirm many more familiar faces in the trailer.

All in, it looks like a solid follow-up to their first fighter. Hopefully, they’ve deepened the combat and improved story mode. If they can do that,My Hero Academiafans should be more than satisfied. My Hero One’s Justice 2will come to Nintendo Switch, PC, PS4, and Xbox One sometime in 2020.
