My Hero Academiahas an assortment of characters, and Kohei Horikoshi has spent ample time expanding them. From those who stand in the forefront of the series to those who add to the backdrop, all of them have roles to play and depth given to them. It justifies their existence within the series and makes them more than just heroes or villains.

It makes them people. Amongst them sits the Todoroki family. Complicated on its own, the three central figures of the family stand as Enji, Shoto, and Toya or Dabi. All of them take from parts of each other to help them become better fights yet even then, some manage to exceed the others.
Endeavor being the father of both Dabi and Shoto, has an upper hand not only in understanding his children but also in experience. He has been active for many more years than either of his sons was alive. At the same time, Dabi and Shoto have the advantage of their mother’s quirk Frost. It helps cool down their flames. Enji has the tendency to overheat because of not having that advantage.

This also gives him the disadvantage that both his sons could overthrow him in raw firepower. However, that is only one criterion. They are both his sons and one of them is known a lot for trying to replicate his father’s moves. At the end of the day, they are his moves and he would excel in outdoing them. Experience contributes to understanding, and that helps in strategy.
Many fans could agree that Dabi has the capability of being both the weakest and the strongest depending on what criteria his strength is being judged on. This is why keeping him in the middle makes perfect sense. His flames far surpass those of Endeavor’s and Shoto’s, also making them the hottest in the series. He even managed to tap into the ability to channel ice even if it was at his lowest point.

Dabi’s bomb also makes him capable of taking down both his father and younger brother. On top of that, his time on the streets gives him a certain level of experience and understanding that his brother would otherwise lack.

Dabi has also been the kind of character who observed Endeavor’s moves for years and managed to execute them. On the other hand, he isn’t one who has a lot of stamina to keep going for a long time and that could prove fatal in any fight.
3Shoto Todoroki
Shoto’s quirk inMy Hero Academiamay be leaps and bounds stronger than his elder brother and his father with a perfect balance of fire and ice but there are still places when the character lacks. His experience is minimal compared to the two of them. While Endeavor’s age plays a big role in the way he fights, so does Dabi’s time on the streets; both of which Shoto lacks.
Strength and power can mean different under different contexts and in many cases, there could be a possibility for Shoto to outdo his father and brother.

However, in raw firepower, experience, and flight, he is far behind. At the same time, with enough time given, he most certainly has the capability of one day surpassing Endeavor.
My Hero Academiais available to watch on Crunchyroll.
