My Dress-Up Darling Episode 8 Recap
Kitagawa and Gojo meet Shinju, Juju’s younger sister. She tells them that she was the one who created Juju’s social media account, and she loves when people compliment her sister. Shinju says that fortunately, her account got successful, and she loves her sister so much.
Shinju shows the camera that she uses to take Juju’s photos and then explains the benefits of clicking pictures with a professional camera. Different features, filters, and everything about the DSLR excite Kitagawa.
Kitagawa asks Shinju if she wants to cosplay as well, to which she replies that she just wants to take photos of her sister and does not want to cosplay herself.
Everyone visits the studio, set up in an abandoned hospital. Shinju and Kitagawa enter the hospital, but Juju resists going inside as the place looks creepy. Shinju and Kitagawa discuss the uses of the camera and how it works; meanwhile, Gojo notices Juju being scared.
Juju says that she wants to cosplay Black Lily, so she has to explore the whole place to get good photos. Juju asks Gojo what he wants to become in the future, to which he replies that he wants to become a Hina Doll artist. She says that she wants to become the magical girl she saw on TV.
Juju tells about her first cosplay to Gojo and how awful it was, but she was still happy. She says that she just wants her dream to come true, and it’s only possible by doing cosplays. Gojo wonders and asks Gojo why she selected him as her Cosplay dress tailor. She replies that when she saw Kitagawa’s dress, she fell in love with it.
Gojo remembers his childhood when his grandfather told him that when he made Hina Dolls, he wanted people to fall in love with them. Gojo is in tears, and he holds her hand and thank her for choosing him. Kitagawa and Gojo have finally given their exams, after which they go to a beach. Kitagawa eats a burger, but a hawk steals it from her hand.
The two enjoy their time on the beach, and Kitagawa decides to go into the sea. She asks Gojo to come as well, after which he joins her. Kitagawa asks if it’s the first time he has come to a beach, to which he replies that his love for the Hina doll never let him go outside.
Kitagawa says that she will take him to many places in the vacations. Gojo is glad to hear that, and Kitagawa feels really shy, after which she goes back to the mat, and she’s pleased. Kitagawa takes a photo of Gojo and wonders how amazing he is.
