The show premiered in 2014 and just after four seasons the actress abruptly left the project in 2017 despite signing a seven-year contract. This news came as a shock to many who wanted to know the actress’ reasoning for leaving the project. She revealed the same when she appeared on theArmchair Expert podcast with Dax Shephard. Bush added:
I quit because … I’ve been so programmed to be a good girl and to be a workhorse and to be a tugboat that I have always prioritized tugging the ship for the crew, for the show, for the group ahead of my own health. The reality was that my body was like falling apart, because I was really, really unhappy.
The actress further added that the show’s creative directors wanted the cast to shoot outside in the harsh weather which was“62 degrees below freezing.”This was done only because the“snow looked so cool on camera”and she called it“being abused at work.”Bush further detailed that she endured all of this just for the sake of other cast members.

Sophia Bush also revealed that she discussed the situation with the maker’s and gave them a whole season to fix the issues she was facing. But when they failed to do anything about the same, she decided to exit the project.
