MultiVersusDirector Tony Huynh has heard the overwhelming outcry from the community to add Breaking Bad’s Walter White to the game and says he will be “pushing as hard as [he] can” for it to happen.
In a new interview withThe Gamer, Huynh explained why Walter White hadn’t been added to the game already, calling the process “complicated.” However, the director went on to state that he wants it to happen just as much as we do, so he would be “pushing as hard as [he] can” to make it happen.

From Batman and Wonder Woman to Rick and Morty, MultiVersus has an extensive list of characters pulled from the world of pop culture. But, despite there already being a plethora of different characters for players to fight as, one name has beenrequested daily since the game’s inception: Walter White.
Unfortunately, it’s not as easy as players think. When asked about the possibility of adding Walter White to the game, Huynh said:
“It’s complicated, but I will personally be pushing as hard as I can to make that happen. Everything that happens with third parties in general… there are things that players don’t understand, it’s more complicated and it’s not a super straightforward process. So there’s no promises there but I will personally be trying really hard.”
While Walter White is looking like a long shot, The Gamer also asked Huynh about the potential inclusion of Daffy Duck to the game’s roster, which seems like a more sensible addition. Huynh didn’t give a yes or no answer, and was instead more coy on the matter. So, take that as you wish.
MultiVersus' Director alsorevealed to The Gamerthat Rick and Morty’s voice actors have been recast. This comes after the show’s co-creator and voice of Rick and Morty, Justin Roiland,resigned from his positionafter an assault allegation had been made against him. The charges were dropped last year due to “insufficient evidence,” according toVariety.
While Roiland had not previously worked on MultiVersus, the game did use clips from the show. Now, however, Rick and Morty’s new voice actors, Ian Cardoni and Harry Belden, will be lending their voices to the title, finally allowing the characters to have unique lines of dialogue within the game.
