The Bow is an interesting and unique weapon in Monster Hunter Wilds. Some parts of the Bows kit can be a bit confusing, but thisgets betterthe more you use it. After that, it’s almost too easy to keep pumping monsters with arrows.

When I personally use the Bow, I like to play fast and mobile. This guide will go over some builds I like to use that have served me well on many a hunt.

The focus for these will mostly revolve around keeping yourself safe in the early ranks and pushing for more stamina in the higher ranks.Since virtually all of your bow attacks will use some stamina, it’s a good idea to try to keep it topped off.

Monster Hunter Wilds: Trophy & Achievement Guide

No trophies? No Problem!

Primary Weapon

Quematrice Arco II

Secondary Weapon

Scylla Fist I

Hirabami Headdress

Xu Wu Mail

Hirabami Vambraces

Xu Wu Coil

Hirabami Greaves

This Low Rank build has a heavy focus on Evade Window, Stamina Surge, and Focus. The first two will help keep you alive and dealing damage, while the last one will help you charge your attacks faster.

While you won’t be able to keep a significant distance, you can keep pelting arrows at the monsters for much longer and with much shorter cool down periods. This keeps your damage consistent throughout a fight, so you don’t have large windows of doing nothing.

Monster Hunter Wilds LR Bow Build

You could swap out some of the Hirabami gear to better suit your needs, but I would keep the Xu Wu gear since it gives you Stamina Surge.you may also craft a Surge Charm Talisman that should max out Stamina Surge for this build.

10 Games Where You Can Ignore The Plot Forever

Very entertaining gameplay, but excessively inconsequential stories.

Griefbringer Urstox

Rathalos Helm Alpha

Gore Mail Alpha

Gore Vambraces Alpha

Rey Sandcoil Alpha

Dahaad Shardgreaves Beta

Much like the Low Rank build, we’ll be focusing on Evade Window, Stamina Surge, Constitution, and Agitator. At a higher level, these will enable you to keep your stamina maxed out pretty continuously.

Since monsters at High Ranks are typically enraged, you’ll find you’re doing more damage thanks to Agitator. Your gear decorations will have some leeway here, but I recommend grabbingJumping Jewel 2,Brace Jewel 1andSteadfast Jewel 1.

It’ll stop you from being hit as often by monsters, and when you are hit, you won’t be stunned or stop your current attack. It won’t make you invincible, but it’ll give you a nice edge to beat out damage from monsters.

Take time to experiment with lots of different skills to see what suits you best personally.

For Low Rank, I recommend that you snag theQuematrice Arco IIsince it not only provides Exhaust Coating, but also Focus, which is very helpful. The Quematrice isn’t incredibly difficult, so it shouldn’t be too rough to get.

High Rank players can’t go wrong withGriefbringer Urstox. This bow has crazy damage but also sports both Ballistics and Special Ammo Boost, which boost your range and special shots (like the Dragon Piercer) respectively.

There are a lot of second tier decorations, likeBlastcoat Jewel 2, that will give you the ability to use other kinds of ammo. It’s a good idea to use at least one to keep your ammo varied.

Once you’ve got an idea for a build, it becomes much easier to put that into practice.Keep in mind you may need to play around other players, so it can always be a good idea to coordinate.

These are just some of the builds possible in the wacky game. Sometimes, trying something new can be the door to a whole world of ideas, especially given thenumber of weaponsin this game. Monster Hunter Wilds has somedeep build-crafting, and it would be a shame not to invest in it.
