Sonic Frontiershasn’t even been released yet, but the official Sonic The Hedgehog Twitter account has confirmed that aMonster HunterDLC pack will be released on November 14th at 5PM PST.
“Time to get cooking! Monster Hunter DLC is coming to Sonic Frontiers November 14th, at 5pm PST - for free!”, theofficial announcementreads. The tweet was then followed up with more details from the officialMonster Hunter Twitter account, which states, “Following launch on Nov. 8, download the free Collaboration Pack on Nov. 14 to get some stylish in-game Monster Hunter equipment and play a fun mini-game”.

A blog post on the officialJapanese Sega websitegave further details on the free DLC pack, stating that players who download the pack will receive special equipment for “Rioreus” and a “grilled meat set”, which will allow users to play mini-games. The description goes on to state that playing the “Nikuyaki” mini-game in-game will make Sonic even stronger.
This isn’t the first time Sonic The Hedgehog and Monster Hunter have teamed up for a collaboration. In November of last year, Monster Hunter Rise received a new Sonic The Hedgehog DLC pack to celebrate the 30th anniversary of Sonic. The DLC featured two new special event quests, which allowed players to collect rings to the beat of classic Sonic The Hedgehog compositions, as well as new armor sets, and more.
Screenshots of the upcoming Monster Hunter DLC for Sonic Frontiers can be found on the officialJapanese Sonic Twitter account, including a look at some of the in-game cosmetics for Sonic.
Sonic Frontiers will release for the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, and PC on November 8th, 2022. The free Monster Hunter DLC pack will then be released shortly afterwards, on November 14th, 2022.
