The Chimera Assault Rifle is theideal weapon for close-quarters combat, lacking in effective range but boastinghigh damage and a fast fire rate.This weapon also currently sportsthe highest level of handlingin the AR category but falls behind the M4 for mobility. On the surface, The Chimera is remarkably similar to the M13B but is more tailored for running and gunning.
Unlocking The Chimera Assault Rifle
The Chimera Assault Rifle can be unlocked in one of three ways. The first and easiest method is togather at least2 Assault Rifle eliminations in 15 separate matches. The second is tosuccessfully extract in DMZ with the ChimeraAssault Rifle equipped in your inventory. Much likethe M13B, the Chimera Assault Rifle has its own designated spawn within DMZ. It can be found inBuilding 21,which cannot be accessed without aDRC Building 21 Access Card. The final method is to simply purchase a Store Bundle that contains the Chimera as a Weapon Blueprint.

Fast Hands
The Chimera Assault Rifle performs at its best when used like an SMG. This means that you will want to be aggressive and agile, rushing players for most engagements. So, we recommend takingDouble Timeas your first perk. This way, you canTactical Sprint for longer, which comes in handy for chasing down your targets. Next, go ahead and equipScavengerto ensure that younever fall short on Assault Rifle ammo.
Fast Handsis a must for this loadout, especially when you have the 45-ROUND MAG equipped on your primary. Fast Hands willbring the reload speed back to a manageable amount, reducing the risk of you losing a gunfight through not reloading fast enough. Finally, considerQuick Fixas your Ultimate Perk. Doing so will provide you withfaster health regeneration after eliminating opponentsand capturing objectives.
The Chimera is especially effective for Multiplayer, but its usefulness in Warzone 2 is fairly low due to its terrible range. So, we recommend using the Chimera for close-range support and rocking an additional primary weapon. TheWeapon SpecialistPerk Package will be your best option in this case. Alternatively, you could takeWarden for Double Time and Fast Hands, but do ensure you loot another weapon for long-range engagements.
Explosive Secondary
In Multiplayer, the Chimera can hold its own fairly nicely, as players will generally be within your immediate vicinity. So, consider taking aLauncher to destroy enemy UAVsand other Killstreaks. ThePILA and the JOKRare the only two Launchers that have a lock-on feature, making them both viable options.
For your Warzone 2 loadout, go ahead and take a second primary weapon. We don’t recommend taking an Assault Rifle or an LMG, as this will result in your ammo types doubling up. Instead, go ahead and equip either aMarksman Rifle or a Sniper. Some great considerations are theSA-B 50,theSignal.50, and theSP-X 80for long-distance combat.
