Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2is less than a month away, andActivisionshared the official launch trailer for the game today, revealing more about the story content of the game by showcasing some high-octane action scenes.
The long anticipation is almost over as Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 launches later this month, but if you have pre-ordered the digital version of the game, you will gain early access to the story campaign, launching on October 20. This means we are only two weeks away from a limited campaign release, and the launch trailer is here to hype you up for an action-packed story.

While today’s campaign does not reveal much about the story details, we get to see some of the various locations that we are about to visit in the Modern Warfare 2 campaign, including Mexico. The end of the trailer though, reveals a character that seems to be the main or at least one of the main antagonists of the game, arrested for leading a foreign terrorist group.
All main protagonists from Captain Price and Alejandro Vargas to Soap McTavish are shown during the trailer, dealing with a terrorist group that apparently has access to so many resources anonymously.
According toInfinity Ward, the launch of Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 will mark the beginning of a new era in the series, which will be followed by the launch of Warzone 2.0 in November 2022.
Keep in mind that there is no early access for the multiplayer modes of Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 as all platforms will receive access on October 28. Many players are expected to join theCall of Dutyservers at the day of launch, as last month’s Beta session alreadybroke a recordin the history of the franchise.
While nothing has been officially shared, it’s believed by insiders that Modern Warfare 2 will have a 2-year life cycle, withTreyarch’s Call of Duty coming in 2024 and Sledgehammer’s game arriving in 2025. Recently, it was claimed by a few insiders thatSledgehammer’s Call of Duty will bea sequel to Advanced Warfare.
