As perDeadline, an insider has come forward with a scoop, sharing that“there’s no deal yet for Teller,”and the film is going to be released in 2025. The source shared that Teller would portray the role ofMichael Jackson’sattorney in the biopic. However, the source did not mention which attorney of theSmooth Criminalsinger, as there were a number of attorneys that Jackson had hired in his career. Late Howard Weitzman, Mark Gregos, and Thomas Mesereau were the three attorneys that MJ had been in contact throughout his entire career.
If both parties come to an agreement, then, Miles Teller would join a talented cast consisting of Jaafar Jackson, MJ’s nephew, as Michael Jackson, Nia Long as mother Katherine Jackson, and Colman Domingo as patriarch Joe Jackson. The film not only features a talented cast, but also the writing team is full of big names, like John Logan, a three-time Oscar nominee, who will write the script of the film, and it will be produced by Graham King, another Oscar winner.
