Ben Affleck and Matt Damon are two of the most loved best friends in the entertainment industry that fans just can never get enough of. Having known each other for more than four decades, the duo has had each other’s backs through it all. But that friendship seems to be under much strain ever since Affleck’s current flame entered the picture: Jennifer Lopez.
Apparently, the bossy babe is a bit too controlling and often mistreats her husband and Damon’s pal, as felt by theJason Bourneactor. And it is because of this reason that Matt Damon can no longer hold his tongue and stop advising Ben Affleck, even if it leads to his longtime best friend alienating from him!

Although he doesn’t let it know publicly and tries to support Bennifer 2.0 (i.e.Ben AffleckandJennifer Lopez‘s ship name) for his buddy pal’s sake, Matt Damon is allegedly quite on edge about hisGood Will Huntingco-star’s wife mistreating him.
As per whatOK Magazineobserved following a heads up from an insider:
“Matt’s had serious reservations about Bennifer 2.0 since the beginning,” the source alleged. “He’s tried to be publicly supportive for Ben [Affleck]’s sake, but the fact is he hates the way [Jennifer Lopez] treats his buddy and can no longer hold his tongue!”
Yet what’s worse than theBatman v Supermanactor not being treated with the love and appreciation he deserves from his wife is the fact that Damon’s pieces of advice are reportedly not sitting well with his best friend.
“It’s obvious something needs to change, but when Matt started giving Ben advice, he totally blew up,” the insider stated. “It feels like history repeating itself because 20 years ago, they stopped talking for the exact same reason. […] Their friendship is strained, to say the least!”
However, that doesn’t mean theOppenheimerstar will just sit quiet and let his BFF get belittled at the hands of his current wife.
“But Matt can’t keep quiet, even if it means alienating Ben,” the source added. “Seeing his pal out there posing on one red carpet after another, totally playing up this role as J.Lo’s arm candy, makes Matt nauseous. He can’t stand to see her emasculate Ben.”
Judging from all these reports, Ben Affleck andMatt Damon‘s friendship is undoubtedly in some serious critical danger. Hopefully, things will not take a turn for the worse from here and the pair’s beloved bromance keeps on staying as strong as it has been throughout all these years.

Bennifer 2.0’s ‘Honeymoon Phase’ Is Long Over
OK Magazinealso reported previously, as per their sources, that Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez’s‘honeymoon phase’has been long over despite the pair still being“madly in love”.
“It’s no secret Ben and J.Lo haven’t been getting along, as he always seems to be in the doghouse,” the source claimed. “The honeymoon phase is over. Of course, they’re still madly in love, but they’re under a lot of pressure with work obligations, being in the spotlight, and blending their families.”
The source further cited another reason behind the pair somewhat distancing from each other: the Batman star’s closeness with ex-wife,Jennifer Garner.
“Ben and Jen are extremely close,” the source confirmed. “In fact, there have been a lot of photos of them together lately where Ben looks so happy, happier than he usually looks when he’s with J. Lo. That’s not lost on J. Lo. She doesn’t think Ben wants Jen back — J. Lo even likes Jen very much — but what woman wouldn’t be a little jealous?”
Considering how Ben Affleck shares three kids — Violet, 17, Seraphina, 14, and Samuel, 11 — with Garner, this closeness is somewhat inevitable, so it seems Lopez will have to bear with it.
