Marvel’sEchorecently dropped its five-episode debut season, allowing Maya Lopez to take center stage. However, prior to the show’s premiere, its connection to Netflix’sDaredevil, featuring Charlie Cox as the Man Without Fear, was one of the primary reasons fans were excited and hyped for the project.

Although Echo primarily tells the story of Maya Lopez and her relationship with Wilson Fisk / Kingpin, the latter’s archnemesis, Matt Murdock / Daredevil, was also confirmed to be making an appearance in the show with Charlie Cox reprising his iconic role. As a result, fans of the Devil of Hell’s Kitchen must be curious to learn when he shows up in the five episodes ofEcho, and here is everything you need to know!

When Does Charlie Cox’s Daredevil Show Up inEcho?
In the comics, Matt Murdock / Daredevil is linked to Maya Lopez / Echo, making his appearance in the latter’s solo series inevitable. Before the show’s release, it was alreadyconfirmedthatCharlie Coxwould reprise his role as Daredevil after previously doing so inSpider-Man: No Way HomeandShe-Hulk: Attorney at Lawin a cameo capacity. However, Cox’s Daredevil was expected to have a larger role inEcho.
In the series, Daredevil appears in the very first episode, titledChafa. The episode features heavy use of flashbacks to flesh out the story of Maya Lopez. Daredevil appears during one of these flashbacks establishing a connection between him and the titular character. The hotly anticipated fight sequence between Daredevil and Echo also takes place during the former’s appearance in the first episode. However, after the brief fight sequence, Daredevil disappears and is not seen again.

Does Daredevil Return in the Future Episodes?
Unfortunately, Charlie Cox’s Daredevil does not return in subsequent episodes ofEchoas the series shifts focus to exploring Maya’s story. As a result, Cox only has a cameo in the show’s first episode and does not appear again. However, the series does briefly set up a future conflict between Wilson Fisk and Daredevil that will likely be explored in the upcoming seriesDaredevil: Born Again. The series has already commenced filming and its first season will consist of 18 episodes.

Chaske Spencer, Tantoo Cardinal, Devery Jacobs, Zahn McClarnon, and Cody Lightning appear as Maya’s family members: Henry “Black Crow” Lopez, Chula, Bonnie, William Lopez, and Biscuits. The miniseries consists of five episodes which were released on June 12, 2025, under the Marvel Spotlight banner.
