The thrill of Quick Play inMarvel Rivalscan die fairly quickly, especially if your team continues to be comprised of all Duelists.
For a more streamlined experience, many players have opted into the Competitive mode, which has much stricter rules in place.

Like any Ranked playlist, Competitive Play in Marvel Rivals starts you off at the bottom of the barrel for your rank. As you win and improve, you’ll ascend the ranks until you reach your goal or make it to the top of the leaderboards.
Marvel Rivals: All Free Skins & How To Unlock Them
Everyone loves free content and Marvel Rivals offers several unique skins for no cost at all.
Along that journey, you may earn rewards for reaching every rank in Competitive. To see all the rewards available with the mode in Season 1 of Marvel Rivals, check out the guide below.

How to Unlock Competitive Rewards in Marvel Rivals
Before we go over the individual rank rewards in Season 1, let’s establish exactly how you earn those rewards.
Basically, all you have to do is reach different ranks. If you need a refresher, here are all the ranks inCompetitive Play, listed from worst to best:

The Celestial rank was added with the Season 1 update to add a bit of a skill gap between the Grandmaster and Eternity ranks.
Up until Eternity, you need to progress from tier three to tier one of a rank. Then, you can progress to the next one and start back at tier three again.

Marvel Rivals : 7 Essential Hero Customization Settings
Every hero has a custom setting in Marvel Rivals. Do they make a difference? Yes, they do. Don’t sleep on them because they can help you win fights.
The competitive rewards in Marvel Rivals just require you to hit a rank above Gold at any point during Season 1 or any subsequent season. Even if you’re Gold for an hour, that still counts towards your Competitive rewards.

Bronze and Silver players earn no rewards for their rank placement, so you need to try your best to hit at least Gold if you aim to earn some kind of prize for your efforts.
Every rank after Gold earns a reward, with Grandmaster and above earning two rewards instead of one.
Season 1 Competitive Rewards in Marvel Rivals
With those distinctions out of the way, here are the Competitive rewards you can earn in Season 1 of Marvel Rivals:
Gold III-I
Invisible Woman - Blood Shield skin
Platinum III-I
Diamond III-I
Grandmaster III-I
Invisible Woman - Blood Shield skin Silver Crest of Honor
Celestial III-I
One Above All
Invisible Woman - Blood Shield skin Gold Crest of Honor
As you can see from the rank rewards, there’s not much of a difference in what you get between all the individual ranks.
Anyone who hits at least Gold rank will be rewarded with theInvisible Woman- Blood Shield skin, so there’s not much point in grinding past that if the skin is all you’re after.
Once you reach Grandmaster rank, you’ll unlock the Silver Crest of Honor. That also goes for Celestial and Eternity ranks.
The final rank in Competitive, One Above All, is rewarded with the Gold Crest of Honor. However, that rank is reserved for one player only who sits atop the leaderboard at Season 1’s end.
The Blood Shield skin for Invisible Woman is a red-themed skin for the hero that looks much nicer than her default Fantastic Four uniform. It’s also free, so you don’t have tospend any currencyon buying one of the famous skins for Invisible Woman.
Marvel Rivals: How to Turn Off Mouse Acceleration
Season 1 of Marvel Rivals makes it easier than ever to turn off mouse acceleration.
As for the Crest of Honor, this icon goes in the top-right corner of your nameplate in the menu and lobby of Marvel Rivals. It’s essentially a way to showcase what rank you hit during a season.
Best Way to Rank Up in Competitive Marvel Rivals
If you’re just looking to unlock the Invisible Woman skin or even the Crest of Honor, you’ll need to rank up progressively throughout Season 1. Before you’re able to even begin playing Competitive in Marvel Rivals, though, you’re required to reach level 10.
The easiest way to reach level 10 is by playing the “Vs. AI” mode and farming XP by winning matches and being the MVP.
After reaching level 10, hop in a Competitive match. The best way to ensure your team has the highest chance of winning is for you to assume the role ofStrategistorVanguard, as there are always more than enough Duelists on the field.
Either role helps out your team tremendously and will lead to more match wins unless you may carry a squad as yourfavorite Duelist. When you have your hero selected, play the objective constantly. Never let a killing spree or vendetta against another player on the other team stop you from always playing the objective.
As long as you stay focused, use the right heroes, and implement some communication with your team, you’ll soar through the ranks in Marvel Rivals. Reaching Gold isn’t too difficult, especially on consoles where you don’t have to worry about cheaters.
After Gold, progressing through Platinum and Diamond to reach Grandmaster and the Silver Crest of Honor is another story. You’ll have to refine your skills, master certain heroes, and perhapsjoin a Factionto party up with like-minded teammates.
Competitive will often get the best of you in Marvel Rivals, but remember not to get too frustrated while playing. It is only a game, after all.
