How To Play Multiplayer
There arefour optionsto play Multiplayer in Lords of the Fallen, three of them for Co-op and one of them for invasions. Players can access multiplayer options by going to any vestige and selecting the Multiplayer option at the bottom. Here is how they work.
Beckon Lampbearer
Summons a random player who has selected the option Accompany Lampbearer to be summoned into your worldas your Co-op partner. The person picked is random and can be anyone from across the world who is playing the game right at the moment.
Beckon Friend
Creates a list of friends who are playing the game at the moment. You can select to beckon that friend, which sends theman invitation through Steam, PS5, or Xbox, depending on the platform. Once that player accepts the invitation, they are summoned into your world.
Accompany Lampbearer
Puts you on the list of people who are willing to accept an invitationvia Beckon Lampbearer. Once someone beckons you, you will automatically spawn into their world to help them out.
Slaughter Lampbearer
Invades a random player’s worldby performing the Crimson Ritual. Your job is to kill the player for a reward ofSevered Fingers. The invading person only has one life, while the defending player has two lives, one in Axiom and the other inUmbral.
How Does Co-Op Work
Co-op in Lords of the Fallen is mostly the same asDark Soulswith a few caveats. One,summoned players cannot stray too far from the summoners; otherwise, they will be respawned beside them after a loading screen.
Second,summoned players get the same amount ofVigorand items. Boss items are also the same for the summoned players and the original. This means that if you are a summoned player helping out in a boss fight and you defeat that boss in your own game, you will receive two sets of drops.
And third,once a summoned player dies in the game, they can be revived by the summoneras long as there are no enemies nearby. Summoned players only have one life and do not spawn in the Umbral unless revived.
