Save for big names in the horror genre like the Resident Evil and Silent Hill franchises, it’s rare for a small-ish horror game to see multiple sequels, especially one that’s not based on survival-horror gameplay.
Thankfully, Bandai Namco’s horror property, which blends puzzle-solving with platforming, and of course, sprinkled with horror elements, have seemingly perfected the formula over the course of multiple games.

While it might not be as popular as the big boys of the genre, this series has its own following, and given Bandai Namco has funded three games into it, it should be doing well enough commercially.

Released in 2017 and developed by Tarsier Studios, Little Nightmares was a surprise hit to many. Its sequel was released in 2021, and was also developed by Tarsier Studios. For some reason, which wasn’t disclosed by Bandai Namco, the third chapter in the game is being developed by Supermassive — a studio familiar with Bandai Namco, as it has developed the first set of The Dark Pictures Anthology for Bandai Namco.
