As you progress through the game with the Rogue class, one thing that you realize before unlocking any Masteries is the fact that Rogue provides the best option to deal damage to enemies without getting too close to them. If you unlock the right Mastery with the right skills, you’re able to always deal damage to the enemy, even when you are simply walking around.
The best Mastery that maximizes the benefits of such an approach to the Rogue isFalconer. This Mastery will add a Falcon that always flies above your head, automatically engaging with the enemies in its range. The Falcone also comes with some special attack types that can be used for single targets or crowd control. Below you can check out what you need for each one of your attack types and specialties.
This build excels in allowing you to deal damage from afar with high mobility that allows you to shift away from enemies' grasp. The combination of Shift and Shurikens will help you a lot in crowd control, while Flurry is your best attack type when fighting with bosses. Acid Flask is quite useful when you don’t really have time to stand still longer than a second. So, you throw the Acid Flask and run away.
Once you unlock the Falconer Mastery, the new Falcon Strikes ability will help you even more to deal damage to your enemies. Now only the Falcon will constantly deal damage to opponents without losing health or consuming any Mana, but it will also bring you the Falcon Strikes move which has an incredible synergy with your other attacking abilities, thanks to the Falconer’s Mark skill in the Specialization menu.
When it comes to the loadout, we do suggest using a bow as your primary weapon rather than dual-wielding melee weapons. After all, most of our skills above are focused on dealing ranged damage, and a bow is the best way to make use of it.
