TheKirbygames have always been a lighthearted affair meant for even the smallest of children to be able to pick up and play. Its cute main character can float away from bottomless pits and has a nearly endless arsenal. This only applies until the end, when the curtain is always pulled back and the final enemy will show the player what a challenge truly looks like.

Kirby And The Forgotten Land Mission Checklist for Collector In The Sleepless Valley

Kirby And The Forgotten Landis notably a bit tougher than previous entries, even including a troublesome boss far before the ending. Sillydillo may look as silly as his name, but he’s spry and vicious to those expecting an easy fight.

The Waddle Dee Missions

As with every level in Kirby In The Forgotten Land, there is a list of objectives that will unlock Waddle Dees. The list is as follows:

Just beating Sillydillo will give you three Waddle Dees, while the other objectives only net you one each. With the boss fights that came before Sillydillo, it was not a bad idea to redo those fights early to gain needed Waddle Dees for the later sections. However, Sillydillo is notably harder than the earlier bosses, so consider completing these missions only if you want full completion and only after you’ve fully leveled up certain abilities.

Kirby And The Forgotten Land Abilities given at start of Sillydillo fight

Beating Sillydillo With The Hammer Ability

If you do wish to beat Sillydillo with the hammer, one is given to you at the start of the fight as an option. Also, here are thebomb abilityandneedle ability. For your first time fighting Sillydillo, choose whichever ability works best for you, but know the hammer ability is here if you’d like to check that mission off.

Sillydillo starts the fight by running directly at Kirby while holding a cage. If Sillydillo catches Kirby, you will have to wiggle the joystick until Kirby eventually breaks free. This can do a decent chunk of health, so avoid this at all costs regardless of the damage-free mission. Sillydillo is faster than you might think given how much bigger he is than Kirby, and this girth can also mean he’s not the easiest to sidestep away from if he gets too close. Essentially, the second you see Sillydillo run in Kirby’s direction, run away. Eventually, Sillydillo will swipe his cage regardless if Kirby is in range, then look inside the cage and be confused he didn’t catch anything, this is your time to attack. If you are using the hammer, simply smack him if it isn’t leveled up. If you have leveled the hammer ability, be sure to charge it as a fully charged hammer swing can damage nearly a third of Sillydillo’s total health bar.

Kirby And The Forgotten Land Kirby caught by Sillydillo

In the second phase of the fight, Sillydillo will stomp the arena and break the floor. You will both fall into the sand, and Sillydillo will stop using the cage and instead roll into a ball and speed toward Kirby. If you have not mastered how to dodge, you will need to, as you’re able to only evade this attack by dodging. Hold a shoulder button, then move out of the way just before Sillydillo rolls into you. The timing is generous. Unlike theClawrolinefight, you can’t just float out of the way, if you do not use the dodge you will be hit by this attack. If done correctly, you will enter slow motion and can even retaliate with a counter-attack.

After enough times, Sillydillo will get dizzy and knock himself onto his back. He will drop some stars Kirby can swallow and spit back, but if you have the upgrade hammer ability you will have plenty of time to charge and deal enough damage to instantly end this phase of the fight.

Kirby And The Forgotten Land Hammer Kirby dodging Sillydillo during fight

The fight’s final phase sees Sillydillo pulling homemade mannequins from nowhere. Sillydillo will tango with these mannequins directly toward Kirby, which Kirby can again dodge. The hard part is when he spins and sends several mannequins by themselves because it will be harder to dodge with how many mannequins there will be. If you have an ability like Ranger, you can attempt to destroy these mannequins, but note they are not part of Sillydillo’s health bar so all that would do is remove obstacles, which may be all you need.

Eventually, Sillydillo will repeat the second phase and spin toward you again, so again just dodge until you have an opening. With Sillydillo beaten you can continue the story and will have at least three more rescued Waddle Dees for the village.

Destroy 3 Homemade Kirbys

At the very start of the fight, there will be littlefake Kirbyson strings. These are the homemade Kirbys and can be knocked down with any ability or even by puffing air if you have no ability. If you do not hit 3 fake Kirbys during the first phase, you cannot complete this mission as they do not appear in the stage used in the next phases of the fight. This mission is just as easy to complete as it is to mess up, so be quick and careful.

Time Limit And Damage Less

You do not have to do every mission in one go. Once you complete a mission, it will be completed forever, so save these hardest ones for the end. The fully upgradedRangerability has become a fan favorite for damage-less and time-attack missions due to itspowerful charge shot, and its counterattack allowing Kirby to stay back during a dodge instead of rushing back in and risking a hit.
