Announced during this year’s Inside Xbox presentation,Square Enix confirmedthatKingdom HeartsHD 1.5 Remix,ÂKingdom HeartsHD 2.5 Remix, andÂKingdom HeartsHD 2.8 Final Chapter Prologuewill each be coming to Xbox One. This means that, for the first time ever, every major installment in the beloved series will be available on a non-PlayStation platform. It also allows the full saga to now be played solely on Xbox One, considering that it wasalready releasedÂon the platform earlier this year.
Earlier this year, Square Enix released a new trailer for the upcomingKingdom Hearts IIIÂDLCÂRe:Mind. It was back in June where we first learned aboutthe new contentconfirming that players will be able to play as Riku, Aqua, and Roxas during the Organization XIII battles in the final act of the game. There will also be new cutscenes, in which some of them focus on members of the Organization. While there’s no official release date yet, it’s still slated for aWinter 2019 release window(which can include early 2020 as well).
Critical Modewas also recently added, giving players the options to challenge themselves on the now hardest difficulty for the game. Critical Mode also includes new abilities exclusive to this difficulty such as lowered HP and MP, as well as tougher enemies to deal with.
