Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 Script The Longest In Game History Claims Director
Kingdom Come Deliverance 2’s script is said to be the longest in game history according to its director.
Side quests in this title all deserve experiencing for their winding, essential world-building, and the Bad Blood side quest is no exception.

If you’re up for uncovering a little extra kidnapping, treachery, and bloodshed, look no further than this one.
Get The Rundown From Bozhena
Look for a “new quest” marker at Herbwoman Bozhena’s hut, the same early-game savior who nursed Henry back to health during the game’s intro.
Bozhena will tell you that her daughter, Pavlena, has gone missing, and she’s concerned for her safety.

With a debt owed to Bozhena for saving his life mere hours ago, Henry agrees to take a look.
Before heading to Pavlena’s last known location of Troskowitz, stop by her bedroom on the second floor of Bozhena’s house for any additional clues.

Here, you’ll deduce that Pavlena left in a hurry, and a mystery man seems to have left his cap behind.
Head to Troskowitz right away, as there’s nothing left to do here.

Look For Answers In Troskowitz
Troskowitz has a fast-travel marker ready for access, so make use of it for a quicker journey to your investigation.
Speaking with any NPC around town will uncover some more details about Pavlena and where she could be, but there is a specific woman on the west end of town at the trader’s shop that can tell you everything you need to know.

If you may’t find her, the Baliff is also an option to get the info you need.
She’ll pass along the fact that Pavlena is creating quite a reputation for herself at the woodcutter’s camp, and speaking with Dushko, one of the woodsmen, can give you more answers.
This camp is located in the south-east portion of Troskowitz, so off you go.
Here, you’re looking for Dushko. He’s a woodsman wearing a brown tunic and black cap.
Dushko tells you that Pavlena has been spending time with another worker named Roman, but Dushko hasn’t seen either of them for a while now, and Roman is desperately needed back at camp to help with the workload.
Agree to continue helping, and Dushko will tell you to take a look inside Roman’s home to see if any more information can be uncovered.
Want some extra Groschen? During Dushko’s dialogue, Henry has a skill-check option to sway Dushko into floating him some extra money for his quest to hunt down Roman, just in case he ends up in any legal trouble. Pass the skill-check labeled “I’ll do it if you pay,” and pocket an extra 25 Gloschen.
Roman’s home is located close by, but the door is locked. You can choose to pick the lock if you please, but there’s really no need.
Instead, circle around to the side of the house, and you’ll notice a ladder leading directly into Roman’s upstairs window. Make a note to speak with Roman about home security when you find him, and climb on up.
Inside, go to Roman’s dining room, and you’ll notice some of Pavlena’s baskets and fresh food on the table. They’ve been here recently.
Report your findings and Roman’s continued absence to Dushko, and he’ll tell you the only other place he knows to look is a small clearing in the woods nearby where the woodcutters are known to take their love interests.
Look for the Lovers' Spot on your map, and head straight over.
Investigate The Lovers' Spot
Approach the Lovers' Spot from the south-west corner of its location on your map. Once there, you’ll soon stumble across a concerning scene.
Pavlena and Roman are nowhere to be found, and there are clear signs of a recent struggle. Investigate the picnic site here, including aBloody Stonethat appears to have just been put to some nefarious use.
If you’re hungry at this point, the remnants of the picnic are still fresh enough for consumption, and there is some extra beer in the pond to boot. Waste not, want not!
Immediately east of the picnic scene, you’ll begin to notice a trail of blood. Follow it, and you’ll discover a scrap of Pavlena’s dress. If you’ve completed the Mutt side quest already, Mutt can sniff the dress scrap and lead you further. If not, this is still an easy trail to track alone. Just keep following the blood to the east.
Nearby, you’ll come to a pigpen in the woods where a dead body has been dumped. Maybe someone nearby saw something…
Thankfully, Hogherd Hugo (cool name) is just up the road, and confirms that the body in the woods is Roman’s. He mentions that he saw a man named Farm Hand Straw leaving the area with a shovel, which clearly seems suspicious.
Confront Farm Hand Straw
Farm Hand Straw is just north back in Troskowitz trying to lie low, but you can find him in a fenced-in area on the south side of town. Confront him immediately about what you just discovered in the woods.
Straw will own up quickly and explains that he and his brother, Ota, were trying to scare Pavlena in the woods. When Roman jumped in to defend her, things quickly took a turn, and Straw killed Roman with the bloody stone in an act of self-defense.
There’s a skill-check to get Straw to turn himself in, but if and when the check fails, Straw isn’t going down without a fight.
As negotiations break down, Straw will lunge at Henry with an axe. Luckily, he doesn’t put up too much of a fight, and a few smacks with a blade of your own will have Straw cowering in surrender.
Speak with him some more, and he’ll give you further details.
Straw and Ota were out drinking with their boss, Jakesh. When Jakesh had a little too much wine, he regaled the brothers with the tale of his wife and son both dying in childbirth.
Bozhena, of course, was the midwife during the pregnancy, so Jakesh blames her for everything.
Eager to earn their boss' favor, the brothers decided to scare Pavlena away from Troskowitz for good.
When their plan went south, Ota took Pavlena hostage to a gorge in the south, where they still remain until the brothers figure out how to get away with Roman’s murder.
While this added context does shed some light on the brothers' actions, Straw still deserves justice.
Take him to Bailiff Thrush and use your best judgment to weigh-in on Straw’s level of punishment. The choice is yours.
Rescue Pavlena
Rescuing the hostage Pavlena is next on your list, so head to the map marker to the south. Ota has her captive at a poacher’s camp in the middle of surrounding rocky cliffs.
Aim to travel down to the middle of these cliffs and you’ll soon find your target.
You’ll know you’re in the right place when you stumble upon Bristly, Ota’s watchdog.
Sadly, you must dispatch of Bristly, and then you are free to climb the ladder he was protecting to keep progressing forward.
Here, you’ll finally discover Pavlena, who is held with a blade at her throat by her captor, Ota.
Negotiate Pavlena’s release as you see fit, but there are only two outcomes here. You’ll either fight Ota to his death, or negotiate Pavlena’s freedom.
If you convince Ota to let Pavlena go, however, she will immediately take up his blade and kill him as revenge for Roman’s untimely death.
From here, it’s time to get Pavlena back home.
Return Pavlena To Bozhena
Even with Pavlena finally home, Bozhena still requests more of Henry.
Jakesh and his deep-rooted hatred of Bozhena got them into this mess, so the only way to move forward is for Jakesh to be removed from the picture so no further issues arise again.
Agree to kill Jakesh for Bozhena, and head back to the farm in Troskowitz one more time.
Seek Final Justice With Jakesh
Your map marker will lead you directly to Jakesh in Troskowitz, so head to confront him during the daytime.
From here, things can go two different ways.
Option 1: Negotiate Peace With Jakesh
Speak with Jakesh and attempt every dialogue that defuses the situation. Some of these choices are trapped behind skill-checks, so it is possible that you simply fail these checks and things move a more violent direction.
If you’re able to smooth things out with Jakesh, he’ll come to realize he needs to let his past pain go, will give you 100 Groschen to take back to Bozhena as an apology, and will invite her and Pavlena to move back to town.
This is definitely the “good” ending and yields you a better reward. Passing dialogue skill-checks is never a guarantee, so consider saving just before this encounter, either via saviorSchnappsor resting in your own bed. Reload the encounter as many times as needed to pass the skill-checks and find this peaceful solution.
Option 2: Kill Jakesh
If you fail the skill-checks or simply want to enjoy an extra battle, you’re free to attack Jakesh right away. He’ll fight back, but is weaponless and a pushover.
With him dead, you’re free to report back to Bozhena about what you’ve done.
Fighting Jakesh around other people will likely land you in some legal hot water, resulting in either a massive fine or punishment by branding when caught. Leaving his body on the ground can do the same, so verify to dispose of the evidence in the woods or an open field nearby to minimize this risk.
Report Your Results To Bozhena
Finally, Henry has reached the conclusion of this epic quest, so report back to Bozhena and let her know how things with Jakesh went down.
If You Negotiated Peace With Jakesh
If you chose to spare Jakesh, Bozhena will at first be doubtful that he’ll actually leave her and Pavlena alone from here. Vouch for Jakesh’s repentance and give Bozhena the 100 Groschen that he sent along as a peace offering, and she’ll eventually be swayed.
For your efforts, Bozhena will offer you half of the Groschen peace offering from Jakesh. Take it, you’ve earned it.
Congratulations! You finally put to rest a long-standing grudge between these two parties.
If You Killed Jakesh
There is no penalty for choosing the violent ending of this quest, except for the fact that you won’t have Jakesh’s 100 Groschen to split with Bozhena.
Instead, speak with Pavlena, and she’ll give you a necklace that Roman had made for her. It does have a value of 50 Groschen, but most vendors won’t pay full price for it, making this ending a net loss monetarily.
Still, this is a nice gesture from Pavlena, and Henry can finally move on to what’s next.
